I wonder what the rules exactly are. Is this just one big stage? Not sure about the rules but this is one HUGE lot like Vegas or Midoriyama. It is out in the middle of nowhere and it's just open land that they built this thing on. Nothing is green-screened. In the trailer they do explicitly refer to "Level 2" of the course, which implies there is at least some sort of sub-dividing the course into stages.

They way the cut it makes it look like he falls on the first obstacle, I really hope that isn't true. Yeah it looks like that to me too. But apparently Yuuji said this was one of the best experiences he has had, so at least that's a positive!

Japanese one is still on Twitter: This trailer proves my earlier post wrong, thankfully, as it shows Yuuji 2 obstacles farther than the shot where he appeared to fall. This implies it's either a misleading cut, or that there are rules in place we don't know about. Or, they weren't the same run, since the winner each episode does a second run in the finals

I think based of the Japanese trailer Yuuji makes it to the cliffhangery obstacle and with footholds I'm fairly sure that he will beat that Also this feels like a cross between Viking and Wipeout, it's going to be awesome

I'm really looking forward to it. Curious when they will premiere season 2.

Also this feels like a cross between Viking and Wipeout, It helps that this is being held where Wipeout once taped. The scenery may be similar to that.

Btw we got a format description: Touted as the first international competition show of its kind, "Ultimate Beastmaster" will feature six country-specific versions, with local languages, competitors and hosts from each country: the U.S., Brazil, South Korea, Mexico, Germany and Japan. All 10 episodes will launch at the same time worldwide on Netflix. The series will feature 108 competitors, 18 from each country, with each hourlong episode featuring 12 contestants - two from each locale. The athletes will run a demanding new obstacle course known as "The Beast," and each e pisode will crown a "Beastmaster," with the nine individual winners competing against each other in the final episode of the season for the chance to become the Ultimate Beastmaster. A BUNCH of people have profile pics if someone wanted to try to scrap together a list of competitors: Instagram search Seems Team Japan didn't get their profile pics for some reason. Team Japan

This show looks awesome. Can't wait to see it! Also, I want there to be a Canadian team in a future season, and, just to screw with ANW, I want Sean McColl on that team

That Canada can start to get in all these shows out there with a Canadian version, or atleast represent. Survivor for example. I guess they do kinda have Amazing Race and Big Brother though. Season 3 hope!

Just saw a commercial on TV! On TNT, tonight is day 2 of NBA All-Star weekend and the slam dunk competition is next. I'll go through my recording later to see if there's anything new.

It was 30 seconds. They're really pushing the "no participation trophies" thing. We didn't see any new obstacles. Maybe different angles of some stuff.
I did notice that one clear tube they climb through after the spinning gears and before the floating conveyor belts starts off floating but sinks into the water as they're on it.
From what we've seen so far, it seems like there's no (or very few) distinct resting sections between obstacles. It's like a super combo of one obstacle straight to the next and on and on.

Will this be available to watch later? I sadly don't have Netflix and I don't really want to get it to just watch 1 show.
