People are really rooting against a competitor. Interesting. He's a terrible excuse of a competitor and he should never be allowed to set foot on the SASUKE course. He's a complete a*****e.

Yep a rumor. TBS never invited Isaac but they did invite Geoff before the date change. So can Geoff not make it? Also TBS, please put a stupidly hard Balance obstacle in just to destroy Isaac, this guy winning could lead to X-Pac levels of heat on the forum and could also destroy SASUKE itself (well probably not, in fact an international winner would probably pop ratings, but do we really wanna see this prick win? ) Geoff couldn't make it due to conflicts with ANW8, I believe. People are really rooting against a competitor. Interesting. He's a terrible excuse of a competitor and he should never be allowed to set foot on the SASUKE course. He's a complete a*****e. I agree he is a jerk, but "a terrible excuse of a competitor"? Regardless of his personality, the fact that he completed all 4 stages disproves him being a terrible competitor.

I've been steering clear but it's time to give my opinion:
1) Is there any *actual* evidence Drew is going or not going, or is this just people making assumptions
2) Has anyone considered that Isaac is a fan and may be going to be an audience member because he loves the show? Has anyone considered that Isaac may just want to go train alongside japanese competitors during the final crunch to get an extra edge on his own skill? Maybe it is a coincidentally timed vacation? There is not enough (ie basically none) evidence that he is going for Sasuke so it seems premature to make such assumptions

If he was a fan of the show he'd show up to gym comps and wouldn't have quit ANW.

Pretty sad that Drew is getting screwed out of the tournament too.... now I'm having a feeling that this could be the worst tournament ever. Hopefully Inui can save the show and invite competitors with real potential You mean the other 70-80% of people who will be in the competition? Random American competitors aren't going to save the competition.

Taking finances out of the situation, he would fly out to Japan, stay for the two taping dates if he does well, fly back to the states, and barely have a day of rest before having to do the ANW regional. Just physically, that's way too taxing just for TV shows with zero guarantee of any sort of compensation.

Well the taping dates of Sasuke 32 are the 28th and 29th Japan time, ANW Philly is on the 26th and 27th Eastern time with overnight tapings, so Geoff's only chance would be to have a teleporter and/or a time machine because he'd have to get from city finals instantly to Sasuke with maybe a few hours to spare but none to sleep... not happening

I've already told you once that I'm no troll. Control your dyslexia. Seriously tired of all the ganging up against Isaac, when he's in fact a really cool guy. Isaac Caldiero is the first ANW and the messiah of ANW. Deal with it.

Not sure how my hearing has anything to do with reading words on a screen lol. Although I think you need to check your hearing as you clearly hear Akbar say that Geoff Britten is the first American Ninja Warrior. But that's not my problem.

2) Has anyone considered that Isaac is a fan and may be going to be an audience member because he loves the show? You need to be invited for that. Unlike ANW, Sasuke is a closed TV set. TBS didn't invite him.

Guys... seriously... Let's keep thing civilized and not bait the trolls, let's not let this thread get out of hand... It's already a slippery slope to chaos... (Obligatory SMF rule of wrestling: No, I do not mean the NJPW stable...) Let's just move on from the troll and let the mods take care of that...

I see then.
Well i'm pretty new to anw so i don't really know isaac really did that. as a competitor he was indeed a good one, but not as a person.
just hoping that he just trolled the wolfpack and then he made a surprise return to them someday.

As far as ANW are concerned, no Isaac, no wolfpack. One of them didn't get called back this year and Isaac isn't competing, so I doubt the word Wolfpack will ever be heard on ANW again.

Given that they're marketing "Wolfpack" as a brand, I'm sure Ian Dory, Brian Arnold and Megan Martin will be making sure Wolfpack is mentioned at every opportunity.
Also Isaac is clearly a great competitor, despite his arrogance, and personally I'd love to see him on the Japanese course, because he's the best American. The things people hate him for are petty and irrelevant. You're not in the Wolfpack, stop being outraged on their behalf. You just look at the way they defend him on social media, compared with the views of people here. Whatever issues they have with him, if you respect them, you'd stop attacking him, like they keep asking people to.

I judge him by his words in articles and social media. He attacks anyone who doesn't worship him. That's just unsportsmanlike and childish. Frankly money can't teach class to someone. It's good to see NBC just referencing the win and walking away to quickly crown a new one. Isaac was literally NBC's worst nightmare. Instead of having an ambassador they can proudly use to spread ANW they are forced to cut ties and start again. I'm curious how they are going to deal with Geoff now that Isaac is gone from ANW.
As for being in the Japanese course.. no he doesn't deserve to be there. Lord knows I've spent 3 years on this board being yelled at that "ANW is NOT Sasuke".. then by that token Sasuke is not ANW and he doesn't have to be invited. ANW isn't even show in Japan and Japan has no mark in ANW. TBS can and has invited who the hell they want for their variety sports show which comprised of wildcards and is shown specifically to the Japanese audience.

Aww man I was really hoping we would see Geoff tear it up in Japan.
Regardless of what people think about the guy, I am slightly worried given the recent difficulty of Sasuke that we could end up with a back-to-back kanzenseiha. Not Isaac's fault, he's just on a whole new level compared to the usual pool in Japan. I have similar worries about Morimoto. I hope the course designers are making course difficulty a priority in spite of the financial difficulties.
