I'm not gonna go into too many details but the just is David Campbell needs a little help, im not smart enough to transfer the info here but look him up on twitter and read the story.
After all, he is the Godfather.

Given that David has gone public about this I think it's fair to discuss the details here.
On another note, I've given up on this show after finding this out. I mean, seriously? David is one of the nicest guys who has ever been associated with ANW and one of the most decent, respectful American competitors to appear on Sasuke. Other than the fact that he has consistently dominated his region and he's still the only one to make it the furthest two seasons in a row, there's just no reason for casting to not give him a call.
Keep it up, ANW, keep it up.

I know we all have alot going on and few of us are rich. I feel like this is a great opportunity for the ninja community to come together and do what we can to help. Hes not asking for much.
Its gotta be disheartning to give your life, body, and bank account to a sport that has you standing in line weeks after weeks next to the local gym rat that heard about it through a friend.
Forget the fact that he is "The Godfather" and has dominated the west-coast for the better part of a ninja millenia and helped hundreds and inspired thousands.
This is what being a Ninja is about. The brother(sister)hood of sharing a healthy lifestyle and lifting up, never putting down. To truly be an elite athlete and support the competition instead of hope for their failures.
$10 help him out.

Seriously, the guys who call the lucky chosen ones saying "YOU MADE IT ON THE SHOW!" or something like that really need to do their research...they sound like their IQ is 30 or they have never ever watched the show. -_-

They spit in alot of veterans faces this year. It's entirely about the story not the athlete and thats more apparent then ever this season. I met all the rookies who got called from my state (I did not get a call) and as excited as I am for them to run, it's dissapointing to see how much stronger myself and other ninjas who weren't chosen are in comparison. I was pretty butt hurt and David not getting a call really put me over the top. He IS anw and a fan favorite. Its so ridiculous...

I wish I could do even more, however, sadly, I need sleep for now. Until then.....NBC.

A lot of ninjas need to raise money to accomplish their dreams/goals. Not saying that David is any less deserving (he isn't), but it's kinda...demoralizing? to see the lesser names who work their a**es off get <$100 when asking for funding for a major event (poor vets who get calls, a bunch of the guys who went to Malaysia/Vietnam, and so on).
I'd almost argue the small guys need the help more since they don't have their names to fall back on. But anyway that's just me.

It happens to be David right now, but I agree there are many otbers that also need help. The only difference is I haven't been asked by anybody else. I do see your point as a new guy wouldn't get near the coverage but in the same sense you cant compare David to a new guy. On a side note, I think the whole reality tv with a story is complete crap. Everybody has a story at the end of the day. The difference is ninjas have a much better chance at success than some average joe. A guy off the street with no fitness background cannot top the mountain. I wanna see successes not fails, but NBC doesnt wanna go bankrupt either. We should have a vote, period. To end this i'll say we should be helping young and old, capable and incapable. If your willing to work for it and have a drive behind it, it hurts my heart to know a few dollars could come between an opportunity.

I'm referring to the ninjas who pour their hearts and souls into anything Sasuke related but just haven't been able to build a huge name for themselves yet (Brett Sims is the first name that comes to mind, but there are many others). I'm all for helping new ninjas out and bringing them into the community, but they need to prove their worth before we start handing out $$$. The cold, hard truth of it is that there are too many people who want to "be a part" of the community the second they get a callback, but the moment they fall on some dumb obstacle (AKA steps), it's "the show's fault," or "I had to run at 3am," or any number of a litany of excuses that prove they're only in it for their own personal fame and glory. New ninjas need to prove they're legit. Once they're legit, though, we should be supporting anyone who wants to build the Sasuke legacy (including ANW stuff).

He's lost the first stage 4 times in a row, which is almost as many times as he's competed. Time for some fresh faces. I don't know what he means by godfather, but he's not and should stop calling himself that, whatever he means by that.

Wasn't named that by NBC for being the best original competitor after Levi or anything.

Its crystal clear your uninformed and disrespecting a veteran shows what kind of person you are. Good luck with that, but your wrong. Dead wrong.

Yea, I just really, really, really don't get this one from NBC. David is an OG, brings a LOT of ratings, has a fantastic track record (yes, he's failed in Vegas but he's dominated everything else), has inspired the next generation of ninjas, has a nickname, and they even used him in their season 8 promo for crying out loud!! As much as I disagree with how NBC handles things, this is a new low. Watch him get to walk on in OKC, crush the course, crush Vegas, then NBC will play it all off like he wasn't even in the walk on line because they don't want to make it look like they made a mistake (and because he's still a friggin FAN FAVORITE THAT BRINGS RATINGS!).

I got big name stuff early, so, I had to continue to build on it alot. A lot of y'all deserve far more than what NBC has given y'all.

Does he really bring in the ratings, though? That's the thing. Don't get me wrong, what happened to David is a shame, and he definitely deserved better. HOWEVER, from the point of view of an executive, they probably just saw him as a guy that had failed in Vegas Stage 1 four years in a row. They probably thought he had been played out, and was in danger of going into Orosco territory, since the idea of a "season of redemption" happened...2 to 3 years before ANW7. Now, again, I completely disagree with the executives, and think they probably put too much focus on results and not enough on fan following, especially after a (should have been) double victory. A mistake? Yes. By Jove, was it a big mistake. However, I can see how the mistake happened, and am (naively) hopeful that the mistake will be avoided in the future.
