They need to stop using "A million dollars on the line" and "History has been made." It's honestly becoming kind of annoying now haha

NBC would be remiss to dismiss it's champion. Better to mention it and move on to the NEXT AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR. Otherwise.. it calls into light the problems. NBC won't stand for that. P.S. What they did for Geoff was good. Probably because it was Matt talking and not NBC execs. Still upset he got nothing for it but at least they acknowledged he cleared the course first.

Yes, he was the FIRST ANW, even though Isaac's trophy tells a different story. However, it's still not good enough, NBC better give Geoffnotjeff a trophy and six zeros with a big one in front of them ASAP. Whether he was faster or slower than Isaac, he earned that million bucks as much as Isaac did, but NBC being the a$$holes they are, ripped it all right out of his hands. I will not stop complaining until NBC pays up, which to be fair, will probably never happen, because NBC. Poor guy, first he misses out on becoming a millionaire, gets nearly no recognition by mainstream media, then he misses out on SASUKE 32 due to a scheduling conflict with ANW. I wanna give Geoff a big hug right now Life's not fair.

It's not going to happen. Seriously.. it's not going to happen. They haven't changed how they conduct business in the decades they have existed. Luckily Matt is at least doing what he can to save Geoff's reputation which honestly can open more doors for him than NBC can ever open.
And you are right. Life is not fair. Especially in television. Welcome to the corporate television industry.

Pretty much this, most people don't know what's going on and those who do already have their opinion formed, the casual fan doesn't know what's going on and without having the whole story having someone who won the whole thing getting benoit'd would cause outrage on its own from people who don't know what's going on, and that would just bring attention to it and that's just make things look worse than they already are...

most people don't know what's going on Honestly I don't, can someone please summarize in a nutshell? Is it just that they're ignoring Geoff in their promo, or is there something more? I'm sorry, I can't watch that promo as I don't live in the US...
Thanks

If you are a glutton for punishment then you can read about 20 pages worth of arguing here. The short short version is that after Isaac won he made a lot of disparaging public comments that was covered by the international press for a period of about 3 months. During that time NBC and Isaac had a huge communication breakdown where Isaac walked away from ANW because of a dispute. Isaac wanted to be treated differently and NBC wasn't budging (for the record Geoff was sent back to regionals just like Isaac and Isaac was offended). There's more to that story but that's not entirely public. From then on he is making overtures to take over Sasuke now that the door with NBC is closed. We'll find out in a week if his efforts prevailed despite not getting an invite from TBS in Japan. So that's the short short version. The rest is private dispute between him and the Wolfpack of which Issac is no longer a part of and hasn't been in almost a year.

I have this weird feeling that there was some type of clause in the TBS/NBC contract that the 1st American to win gets an automatic spot in the following Sasuke. TBS took the proper high road and also invited Geoff. But Isaac wasn't technically invited, he gets an auto spot due to victory. I could also be completely off base and crazy.
We could also see an Intagram post from Isaac saying "Dude!! There's no walk-on line here!!!!?? Craaaaaap"

Ok, thanks.
Yeah, I've read some of those things by now on the Wolfpack's site.
I was just wondering about those comments, as I couldn't find anything on Google (and it's hard now seraching through results of a 9-month period), but thanks for explaining!

"Dude!! There's no walk-on line here!!!!?? Craaaaaap" New bucket list entry: Get to the Sasuke filming and make that Instagram post myself. (P.S. Inui, I am your father’s brother’s nephew’s cousin’s former roommate, so please invite me, even if it's just as a spectator.)

I was afraid this discussion was going to spill over to this thread. However, I need to clear up something immediately. There is no clause to get a bid on Sasuke. None. That is false. Isaac was not invited by Inui. Inui doesn't invite the internationals.. hell he can't even invite his own family. He along with the rest of the organizing crew are forbidden from having a guest list. This isn't M9 folks.. things changed in the past 5 years. These rumors keep persisting and it's negatively impacting Inui's reputation. Unless you want him fired, cut it out. He nor TBS invited Isaac.
As for articles, check the ANW7 section. I did a thread just with some of the articles. If the links are still active you can read them there. For the rest of the thread, please stick to the videos. We have talked about Isaac's fiasco in about 4 threads just recently.

Not really a commercial but worth sharing Aaaaannd they use David Campbell in their other promo (@ 1:12). And yeah that's cool that they at least acknowledged Geoff as the first. Step in the right direction.
