In NBC's defense, we don't know what they have planned for Geoff. I assure you, it wont be " and up next is Geoff Brittan.." They cant fix whats happened, but they can try to make it right. Geoff is my fav no doubt. Im hoping they pay respect. The only American in history to have completed all courses... etc etc Does it matter? Its nice to see people standing up for me, and i love you all for that, but at the end of the day its just obstacles. To quote BernardoSan "We aren't out here saving lives or curing cancer.." That rings so true to me. Personally I dont care anymore. I had a personal challenge for myself and i accomplished it. Something i told Jess before we left for Vegas was that i hoped i could beat stage 4 and another person would also beat it faster, getting all the media attention so that I could slip back into just being a dad. Really. Pretty cool how that worked out! That being said Matt Iseman started off the Atlanta Qualifiers by Calling out to the entire crowd that Geoff Britten the 1st American ninja warrior was in the crowd. Its pretty obvious how Matt feels about it and to me he IS ninja warrior. Pretty cool =) PS - i AM in the video but no one has noticed yet, even my wife missed me! Doing a stage 2 obstacle. I think the entire reason your fans and friends feel so strongly about this topic is because of how laid back and cool you are about it. It's nothing but extreme respect and admiration. You deserve to be in the history books is really the basic point. We may not be curing cancer, but we can help stop obesity and unhealthy living. We can finally offer something totally positive for our kids that doesn't need a screen attached. You don't need to have the paparazzi following you around to make a difference. My kids, the kids I train all look at Geoff Brittan as the greatest thing since chocolate milk.

As a fan of the competitors and of sportsmanship it matters to me. I know a lot of us feel the same way or this thing wouldn't be as big as it is. I'm glad Matt has stood up for you Geoff. He has been since this whole thing blew up. Now I'm convinced the whole thing is corporate's fault. LOL I should hash tag it.. #BecauseNBC

Most of the problems with ANW come from the higher ups at NBC since I've been to 3 regionals and have had a good experience every time and most off the issues I hear about come from higher ups at NBC

I certainly wouldn't or at least I'd be vocal about it.

If you get offered a spot anywhere, you'd be a fool not to take it, whether producing, editing or even doing the menial stuff. People work for them because money, simple as that. Not everyone is a celebrity, who can pick and choose where and on what show they work on, and what they do. If you bad mouthed your boss or didn't do what they asked, IN ANY OTHER INDUSTRY YOU WOULD BE FIRED OR DISCIPLINED. Just because we're passionate about a show, doesn't mean our frustrations will ever equal change or an uprising in NBC. The workers have different priorities altogether. That is something people on this forum need to understand.

I worked for television for 5 years. People have disagreements with the "direction of the show" many many times. I've seen people walk for less than that. You are allowed to have an opinion when you think it is detrimental to the expansion, endurance or future of the show. You are usually hired into your position because you provide that insight. Those people are valued because they save the production a lot of problems by having someone troubleshoot problems within the organization rather than having to deal with a very public fall from grace. NBC is usually a revolving door as it is. All you have to do is look at the credit roll after every season. There is always someone new. Hell they haven't been able to keep a sponsor for longer than a season. As a human being you have to stand for something and have your own personal ethics. I would not be one that would be in that production team and would walk just like the rest of those who did (even those this season that already left). If you are fired for having a different opinion that is grounds for a lawsuit. So the thought that you can't open your mouth when something is wrong, then you are in the wrong business.. or don't work in corporate.

I would love to work for the show. I really know nothing at all about production or tv so im sure they would love to have me lol On the other hand, designing obstacles, the fabrication and set-up would be super cool as long as I didnt have to drive. My bad way off topic now. I knew in my heart Matt was cool and knows whats up ?

Well you would expect the first American Ninja Warrior to get more than a second of coverage on the promo (at 1:05) Honestly, that just shows how much better of a ninja he really is. Only spotted for a split second, then he melts back into the shadows, ready to strike and No-Leggo your Eggo.

Esquire just released their promo for this season, and it shows Geoff and Isaac saying "two men made history." So in all honestly it isn't even an ANW producers thing, it's an NBC thing.

Thank you I found it! Better! ♥ Not available in my country. Damn NBC must really hate me. Just use a USA proxy. Google it, type in the ANW YT web address on any of the browsers that pop up and voila! Once you access the ANW channel once and subscribe to them using this method, the block permanently goes away for some reason.
