The way I look at it: Isaac won, Isaac and Geoff are both champions. Exactly. The cash prize is just a bonus

Look at what I caused last night, didn't realize I could blow this thread up like that But regardless I just hate the egotistic attitude that Isaac has. It's literally ALL about him, really from ANW5. Whoever wears a damn Jesus costume deserves to be jeered in my honest opinion...that's probably what he thinks of himself. But yeah the idea of him just doing anything in his power to be "the guy" and get everything he wants is ridiculous. Nagano or Yuuji never tried to do anything like that. They won and live the same lives, with the same group of friends. That's my take.

So wait, is Isaac black listed or not? The Wolfpack said weeks ago that he'd told them he wasn't going to compete. His statement just confirmed that. Had he been blacklisted weeks ago? They still call him a friend too, and said they support his decision to step away from the game. Are they lying about how they feel about him, or people in here just putting words into their mouths?

I think the only one saying any of that is Arsenette, who has more info than the rest of us. Did you listen to the podcast? Being an outsider who knows very little of the backstage drama, it felt like it's something they wanted to talk about and get out of the way as fast as possible. Even they stated they hadn't really seen him much. I could be reading too much into it, but with the few things I do know - I don't think it's unreasonable to think there is a rift. I have no idea on if he's actually black-listed or not. Based on the trophy, I'm gonna say no? And tv is tv. If both parties are willing, he will be back. I don't know the official word, and I'm sure few people do.

Yeah I've listened to all the podcasts, and they repeatedly call Isaac their friend and otherwise compliment him. They talk about him almost every week (possibly every week), because they ask all the people they interview about the "first American Ninja Warrior" controversy, and then discuss the answer after the interview.

We know Isaac. He's gone on every major newspaper worldwide to trash every other competitor, Japan and Geoff specifically... ...It's not like this event happened last night. These are all fair points. Do note that I'm not particularly happy with how this has played out and I believe we agree on the fundamentals. I do want to note that my message was not aimed at you particular. Though you have very passionate opinions you aren't the type to make unreasonable demands. I'm more speaking to those who believe that there should be drastic action taken as a reaction to this (though would get behind NBC blacklisting him though). I think what I was trying to get at is that I believe some restraint could be in order at this point, given that we are starting to see where this is headed in the long term. It seems that the people that this affects the most personally, that being Geoff and the rest of the Wolfpack, want to a acknowledge that it happened and gracefully move on and I think it would be wise to follow suit here. Sure, his behavior has made many people upset (and everyone has the right to be upset) but there unfortunately isn't a whole lot to do about it.

Wow, just read the thread, was directed here by a friend. Both are obviously champs. Isaac's photo seems a bit over the top! I listened to the podcasts and really like them, and I also get the feeling there is a "rift." It seems like Isaac bailed on his bros? I also wonder why he's not competing. Geoff is, right? How about Wolfpack? I bet there is some shenanigans going on behind the scenes. I bet Wolfpack is being political. I really like Brian Arnold and think he is still in the running for this year. It was telling on the Sean McColl interview how Sean said it was sad that Isaac had left the wolfpack and Noah seemed to agree? Anyway, I have enjoyed the conversation. This year is going to be crazy! nice to meet y'all, big fan.

You could talk about this til the end of time.
At the end of the day its Clear Isaac is NBC's Champion.
At the end of the day Geoff will always be the Champ in my eyes.
The only thing that is 100% provable fact is that Geoff never touched the water during Season 7.
NBC's Champion was practicing his backstroke during his city final.
So who's the real champ?

What a f****** joke! Just goes to show that despite all the meaningless crap they threw in in USA VS The World to "fix" the situation, NBC have never endorsed or given a crap about Geoff. Despicable.

@ SolitudeSeeker. dude, lay off the Google translate. Why are we keeping this soap opera alive? NBC did (and is continuing to do) something that is stupid and wrong and we disagree with it. Shocker. Aren't there 4 other champions they don't acknowledge? This is par for the course for NBC. Not sure why you are all surprised and are still talking about it. Geoff and Isaac are both awesome. Both great athletes. Both champions. NBC gets to do what they want with their money. They make the rules to the game that they are creating. Sorry if you disagree. You think Geoff deserves money? Do something about it.

For a show that exists as the American REPLACEMENT for Sasuke you should understand why the public outcry is so huge. Kunoichi has a set of co-champions. Only NBC decided to change it from man vs course to man vs man. Geoff did everything NBC asked him to do. Now he doesn't even have a title for defeating the worlds toughest obstacle course. That is inherently wrong. This is a Sasuke spin off. Had this happened in Japan we wouldn't even be having this conversation. I think from now on we need to accept ANW not as a Spinoff of SASUKE but it's own seperate show, apart from taking obstacles ideas it is clear it doesn't embody the same man vs course attitude that SASUKE does and I think it is disrespectful to SASUKE what NBC and Isaac have done to ANW. This trophy fiasco is the last straw and puts Isaac Caldiero wayyyy beyond the realms of Katsumi Yamada in terms of being an absolute douchebag. The only good thing to come out of this is that the majority of the American Ninja Movement seem to support Geoff a lot more than Isaac as Geoff is a lot more active in it than Isaac is, and hopefully from now on the rules are changed so multiple people can win so Geoff can still be seen as a Grand Champion. Also I don't hate many people, but I hate Isaac Caldiero. He has X-Pac heat with me (Rule 1 of SMF, thou shalt get a Wrestling reference in each post )

Hey everyone here knows the only reason why I even care about this crap is because of the implications with Sasuke 32 airing this summer. The rest I gave up a looooooong time ago. #BecauseNBC

The rules are changed for this season. They state that if more than one persons finishes stage 4 under the time limit the prize money will be split equally.

That rule should've been applied to EVERY ANW season. If that was the case then we wouldn't be complaining to NBC about not paying up. #GiveGeoffHisMillion

I think Geoff deserves financial reward for all his hard work and his amazing accomplishment. They really screwed it up last year IMO. In other news, I thought it was interesting that there was a poll on the Wolfpack website and there's been a bunch of votes and it looks like a lot of people think Geoff is the first American ninja warrior (obviously.) I wonder if Geoff or Isaac has seen that poll? Either way, they'll probably make the course so hard this year that nobody finishes it.
