On the suggestions of Arsenette, I have made a thread in which all future discussion about the future of Isaac can be had.
What do I personally think? Both him and Geoff deserve to be in Sasuke. Regardless of what people think, they are both champions, made on an arguably tougher course than the most recent Sasuke tournaments, and are huge figures in the current "worldwide ninja scene". Both should be US reps, and this also shouldn't mean that Drew doesn't get to return. As far as I am concerned, both have earned the right to take on Japan's course and test their skills. I would rank Drew as the 3rd best American currently, and he deserves to return too based on his 30/31 performances.
As for ANW, I don't really approve of Isaac quitting. If anything, it shows that he was only in it for the money and fame, and with champions like Nagano, Geoff and Morimoto, that is very disheartening to see. The wolfpack wont be the same without him, and assuming the course is gonna get tougher, it seems like a cowardly move on his part to not at least give it one more try, especially after what the show has given him in return. He was never in it for the prize only. He was in it for the honor of conquering the mountain and he already has done so. Going back and doing so again sounds pointless. "Wolfpack won't be the same without him". Lol who cares.

It will be weird to have ANW this year without Isaac competing. It will make me feel like I'm watching SASUKE 5 (because Akiyama was absent)

It will make me feel like I'm watching SASUKE 5 (because Akiyama was absent) Except for Akiyama is super chill and nice while Isaac is the definition of he's completely ruined the idea of being classy to one another, and to be honest the show will go on and be fine without him

It's 2 days of 'training' and not even the main prize. Winner gets a week in Venice Beach, $10,000 and a year supply of POM.
NBC isn't involved in this outside of providing eyes to the contest. POM is the one handling the contest, as main sponsors tend to do. There's 0 reason POM would know/care about behind the scenes ANW stuff so long as no one gets killed on a set with their name associated with it.

Less that and more the fact that Isaac would agree to this in the first place. (Maybe it was contractually obligated with winning the million, in which case congratulations Geoffnotjeff, you dodged a bullet there)

At the same time it is ultimately a game show which is usually just take your money and go.

For years now people have come to terms with the fact that ANW and Sasuke are different shows with different spirits and different goals in mind. This should have been evident years ago when Brent got pushed to Stage 3 after timing out on Stage 2 - the logic being that it would have been a PR/financial disaster in the American TV market to not even have a Stage 3.
So don't suddenly tell me "ANW is the American replacement of Sasuke" when its convenient to your argument, arsenette. You used to very loudly and angrily get on your soap box every season and say how they're not the same and how you won't be watching.
In Sasuke, you complete Stage 4, you are a Grand Champion. In ANW, if more than one person beats Stage 4, the fastest person is a Grand Champion. It wasn't a big surprise. I do think Geoff should get money for it, especially after the public outcry, but still, it's a different show and different rules.
It doesn't make sense to claim Geoff is the first, anyway. How is the order chosen for Stage 4? Fastest time on Stage 3 goes last? Is the order randomly assigned? If the fastest in Stage 3 goes later it doesn't make sense to be "rewarded" by going later and possibly getting shut out of winning. If its random it doesn't make sense to reward the luck of the draw of who went first when two people win. It should be the fastest wins -or- both win. But it wasn't both win.
Now I can imagine Isaac after this all went down and beating Stage 4 the fastest. Everyone is so upset with Geoff not winning money (and rightfully so - I agree with them!) that they're saying "Well we know you're the REAL FIRST ANW!!!" completely downplaying Isaac's accomplishment because of the order, overcompensating for the unfairness to the point that they're being s***ty to Isaac. All he did is went when we went by the rules and won, and again, it doesn't make sense to give special treatment to Geoff for going first if it was random or if it was Isaac being "rewarded" for going second.
So of course Isaac might respond by being pissed off and saying "I want it known I was the first ANW Champion" after all these people were saying he wasn't and that Geoff was.
I love how many people who interacted with Isaac personally IN REAL LIFE come on here and post "You know he was a humble guy when I met him and he was nice," and arsenette rolls her eyes and is like "Ok well you dont know the private internet hearsay messages I have received about the situation so just do research!" completely disregarding other people's opinions on a man when they met him and she never has.
ps - if i was in charge there would be co champions and Geoff woulda gotten the million also. Just saying it's a different show and arsenettes logic was really bad and hypocritical.

I love how many people who interacted with Isaac personally IN REAL LIFE come on here and post "You know he was a humble guy when I met him and he was nice," As one of the people that's interacted with him in real life, I didn't get any sort of feeling of humility or niceness, whatsoever. He was quite standoffish from the beginning in the ANW 5 Denver walk-on line. (And humble is the exact opposite of how he portrayed himself in his tryout video.) Badalight has also expressed the same thing in previous posts, so I know it's not just me.

Really, bringing this back up to call out one specific user?
If the crux of your argument is Isaac got the short end of the stick in terms of order, he brought that on himself. The general rule in Stages 2 and 3 is slower clears go before the faster ones. For Stage 4, the faster time got to decide. Isaac cleared Stage 3 quicker than Geoff, so *he* chose to go second. The broadcast explicitly explained that. So if he doesn't like people calling Geoff the first American Ninja Warrior, then it screams being bitter Geoff stole some glory. The broadcast also said:
So based off the wording given on television, Geoff is the first American Ninja Warrior. Isaac didn't just emphasize that he was the official winner of the money, he tried to completely eliminate Geoff's accomplishments, going so far as to have NBC make a trophy just for him ON TOP of being the prize money winner. Akbar also called Geoff "the first American Ninja Warrior" RIGHT AFTER he beat Stage 4. Isaac won the money; he shouldn't be bitter or insecure about anything. Much less abandoning the guys (and gal) who gave him a high profile. That's why people have a problem with Isaac. He seemingly doesn't acknowledge Geoff as a co-champion despite him going up the tower first (not to mention Geoff did overall better on the course never failing at any point throughout the season while Isaac failed the city finals.
But don't create 'discussion' solely to act as a way to call out someone well after they post and the topic has been discussed to death.

I've already pointed out this many times before, and lol I even get banned for defending Isaac in a post where someone was insulting him, but really no one cares who climbed first and who climbed second. If you have a problem with the rules then that's an issue you have to address with NBC themselves and not Isaac himself, he's just following the rules, he has nothing to do with the rules. Who did better and who did worse during the city qualifiers is a poor comparison, because it has nothing to do with how they perform in the national finals, they are two entirely separate events.

You can say he's a nice and humble guy who just wants people to know he is the grand champ. Cool. Everyone knows that. He won, and congrats to him for that.
He has tried to discredit the fact that I even finished stage 4. He told me I ruined his life and ruined his moment. I should have just fallen and let him has his moment because he deserved it. And that's like 1/100 of the s*** he has done.
I though he was a nice guy. So did a lot of his long time friends.
What's really sad is how it changed. We were cool way after the show filmed, hanging out in NY watching the finals, having dinner, drinks, having fun. The. Suddenly he started attacking me a month later - saying some really nasty things in private and public (he deleted most) even saying I was a poor sport and sub par performer, etc - I think he is changing his reality to match his current emotional state. I've seen it before, if you tell yourself enough lies you change change history in your mind and it becomes your reality.
Sad. We should have been linked forever as the first to ever beat stage 5 in America and inspire and motivate others, instead there has been silly battles and such. I'm not perfect and s*** he said hurt and I did go back and forth with him a few times. Shouldn't have done that, it doesn't help.
He really wanted rondo sasuke and sadly his attitude since winning directly led to him not being able to, something I'm not sure he knows.
And that's that.

I'm tired of being bashed and given that sentinel came out of the woodwork to bash me specifically I'm happy that you were able to back up everything I ever said. Considering that YOU are the one greatly affected by the fall from grace of Isaac I feel strongly about the subject. No one deserves that. Thanks for speaking up.

TCM you make some good points. And Geoff, nothing but respect for you, and I respect your opinion of Isaac. You have met him and interacted with him and I have not. Just think its dumb for someone who has never met him to very rudely dismiss the opinions of people who have met him when she never has. Its entirely possible he's not a children's movie villain and is a fully realized and complex human being who people are still allowed to say something nice about based on their own relationship with him.

I hadn't had a single clue what's going on with Issac Caldiero lately and all I have been reading in this thread sounds like a feud sort of happened between him and Geoff Britten.
But some people would like to see him compete again for a 2nd total victory in ANW or maybe get a real shot at competing the harder, original Sasuke.
