On the suggestions of Arsenette, I have made a thread in which all future discussion about the future of Isaac can be had.
What do I personally think? Both him and Geoff deserve to be in Sasuke. Regardless of what people think, they are both champions, made on an arguably tougher course than the most recent Sasuke tournaments, and are huge figures in the current "worldwide ninja scene". Both should be US reps, and this also shouldn't mean that Drew doesn't get to return. As far as I am concerned, both have earned the right to take on Japan's course and test their skills. I would rank Drew as the 3rd best American currently, and he deserves to return too based on his 30/31 performances.
As for ANW, I don't really approve of Isaac quitting. If anything, it shows that he was only in it for the money and fame, and with champions like Nagano, Geoff and Morimoto, that is very disheartening to see. The wolfpack wont be the same without him, and assuming the course is gonna get tougher, it seems like a cowardly move on his part to not at least give it one more try, especially after what the show has given him in return.

Haven't you ever gotten really involved in achieving a goal and then found yourself losing interest once the goal was realized?

Everyone is different. Can't expect everybody to have the same goals.

It's clear that we're lacking significant details as to Isaac's sudden departure. There's clearly something much bigger at play here so until we figure out exactly what's going on let's not rush to any judgments.

It just seems kind of odd that such an enthusiastic competitor would suddenly quit.

AFAIC, Isaac and Geoff can do whatever they hell they want, cus they're BAUSes.
And ya, they should both be invited to Sasuke.
Does the thread really need Spoiler tags??

Does the thread really need Spoiler tags?? Yes, it'll make the thread go faster, just like that Ford Escort I saw with a spoiler bolted onto it.

car spoiler Giggles. Yeah we are missing a big chunk of information though it sounds like no one read a single article that was written immediately after ANW7's airing and all of those newspapers asking why Isaac turned into an idiot immediately after winning. Even from the "statement" that Isaac left on the Wolfpack podcast it is clear he severed ties with those who used to be his friends and went on his way. Given that he's given NBC the finger there's no way in hell he's going to get the approval to go to Japan (All Americans need permission from NBC to participate in Sasuke. ALL of them.) So if Isaac is being flippant and now wants to go Sasuke because he burned his bridges and made everyone his enemy, I don't want him anywhere near Sasuke. We don't need someone so arrogant to "represent" us when he's nothing like us. Drew is doing perfectly fine in Japan thank you. I'd prefer Geoff going considering that NBC gave him literally nothing as a payoff for winning ANW. The least that they can do is showcase him in Japan as a champion.. you know the way that NBC insists he is even if he didn't win the million dollars. I hope NBC sends Geoff and Drew to Sasuke. Isaac already burned his bridge because he's too good for everyone now. Let him join the rock climbing tour and try to dominate Sean McColl instead.

Yeah, he handled victory and the aftermaths of his win VERY poorly. It really is a shame. From a purely performance based viewpoint, he is one of the strongest ninjas up there EVER. Probably not the greatest, but he is certainly on par with Geoff, Prime Nagano and Yuuji etc... Even though it's his choice whether or not he returns or if NBC even wants him now, he will be missed from the competition pool, just due to the "calibre" of competitor he is.

I don't think anyone questions his skills. It's his attitude. He's a poor ambassador of ANW. No wonder NBC cut him loose.

From what we know so far, he seems to who have made the decision to step away, perhaps in light of his controversy. But you're right, we need to wait to hear the full story. For now, we need to lower our pitchforks.

LMFAO where have you been? And yeah there's a lot to the story. My guess is that NBC will just say he's retired and move on. Hopefully they'll FINALLY give Geoff some love. ♥

After he won, I was thinking he may not come back. He's a climber and conquered his mountain. Then the interviews popped up and i really figured he was done. I actually feel bad for the Wolfpack crew. They took the high road on their podcast, but it sure looks like he used them just to make himself better.

Hearing them read the "statement" and how terse it was really hurt. I commend them for taking the high road as well. It was.. an awkward situation and they deserved better from someone they called their friend until June, 2015. Man.. money does some crazy stuff to people...

That's the reality unfortunately. After all, they are the one who sent two random competitors (Joseph Lobeck and Will Dodd) from ANW4 in SASUKE RISING (28), where they could have sent Brent and/or David; ironically, both of their runs were cut from main broadcast.
