Honestly not being allowed to say you're competing is stupid I understand the reason behind that but the competitors friends will not know about it unless in secret and they won't tune in unless they're big fans or watching their favourite celebrities. It's a terrible decision by TBS because that's a lack of promotion for the show and will result in less revenue and the show will be cancelled if ratings flop Their friends obviously know.. they will be with them at the taping. There is a full 6 week (approximate) wait from taping to airing. That's plenty of time to promote "see me at Sasuke on TBS at (enter date)". The list comes out the morning they compete. A month and a half of them being able to say they were there is plenty. In ANW you don't get that if they make it to Vegas. This is Vegas without the regionals. NBC will punish anyone to the tune of $1,000,000 if someone speaks that they are competing in Vegas.

See that's one thing ANW does better than Sasuke, the fact you're allowed to acknowledge you're competing and promote it to bring attention to the show, I don't understand why the fact someone competed is a secret with Sasuke Because invites are still in flux and who ends up showing up that day and on the official list could be vastly different than say a couple weeks before when they are trying to nail down talent/celebs. That way they can avoid awkward situations of people being uninvited to make way for paid celebs. It's happened at least once a tournament honestly. Besides.. part of their promotion IS being the ones to formally announce those celebs. At least they are giving the competitors up until the day they show up to stay silent. Ya'll remember back in the Monster 9 days they couldn't say jack until the airing.. Ryoma anyone? Besides.. ANW has like 1000 (yes I'm exaggerating) going to regionals but under HUGE penalty will you disclose Vegas before airtime. So they share exactly the same rule on that. Sasuke only has 100 and that's identical to ANW Finals. That makes a lot of sense about the celeb thing causing people to be uninvited, I didn't realize how last minute dealing with the agents to get the celebs booked would be, thanks for clearing that up. And that's good to know it's only on lockdown until taping day instead of airdate. But yeah the Vegas comparison is kind of off since saying who made it to Vegas breaks the spoilers NDA since that reveals information about Qualifying and City Finals episodes, I'll admit it was my fault for dragging ANW into it for talking about the fact you're allowed to say you competed in regionals

Hey one of the most famous last minute additions was actually Nagano in Sasuke... 7? Where he was invited 2 days before the event and was out at sea so he couldn't go. So yeah as usual they overinvite then trim down when the celebs come in and change things. This will be the fastest ever that we will get the full list. Last year was the current record with it being published at midnight of Day 1. So if they plan to announce it at 10 of Day 1 that's even before they compete! That will be a record.

Probably Sasuke 6 since 7 was the first tournament he competed in.
