I don't have any information on this but I've been wondering, last year these were announced early January, what's going on this year? What do you guys think might be the reason for the delay? Thoughts and speculations are welcome.
Admin Edit: Added official dates/locations.

In general when people are antsy about this topic it's best NOT to speculate. Should be coming shortly so better to stick to what is official than throw people off. It's happened before and it turns into a mess.. just a suggestion to avoid having people rage that "hey I was told it was blah blah time and I took off of work and it was wrong.. /tabletoss"

Well we could delete this thread after the locations come out but yeah this is getting very ridiculous. I just booked my vacation with my family and if the dates match up then I'm just going to be out of money.... It's not their lives so obviously they don't care... But I'm banking on what someone else said in the a thread, that it will probably be around the ANW7 dates. I feel sorry for whoever has to compete in March cause they will have very little time to plan.

I felt the need to talk about it and started this thread. We can post the dates/locations here as soon as we find out, hopefully soon! Last year Venice was the second week of March, which is in like 3-4 weeks from today.

That's why I said it's not a good idea. This has been a problem in the past. We just need to exercise patience or people get reaaaaaally upset with ya! ♥

I requested time off work in March but might have to cancel it if Venice is not in March . I saw the name of the thread has changed so people know it's not official now, that's good.

I know where all the locations are. I just can't legally say ^^. I'll give you a hint for the first city. It starts with an "A". if I remember right you work for A Deign & Co right? A casting member told me the best place to find out is from them as soon as the information is released, but she didn't know when. Do you happen to know when? Thanks!

I've heard rumors regarding Atlantic City NJ is a NE location, I don't know how true that info is however.

Somewhat unrelated, but does anyone have info on what the spectator situations will be like for ANW8? They were a crapshoot in ANW7, at least from my perspective. Seems like more and more, you pretty much have to be close friends/family of the confirmed competitors (not the walkons), or have some other "in" with the producers. The "tickets" they gave us got us nowhere. And at Pittsburgh, they were making people wait in this ghetto a** parking lot for like 2 hours or more before they shuttled you onsite (thankfully, my buddy and I were able to mission-impossible it through the woods onto the site, then muscle our way through the check-in line).
Oh, how the days are gone when every homeless dude and their mother could just stroll onto the bleachers at Venice Beach.

But they could really make it more organized than it is. I mean they should make it if you dont have a ticket, then you don't get in plain and simple. Instead of "yeah I'm here to watch,John Doe". My family had to do the same last year. They waited up all night outside the gate of universal studios. When daylight broke at 6:00 the next morning and I was three people away from running, they told me to come back that night...... Atleast they could had let my parents in to watch the show rather than sitting out on concrete.

There were still people coming in to the Pittsburgh tapings at 4 AM because they were waiting outside. Absolutely insane. So lucky we got in at ~7 PM.

the way things are going and from what the guy above mentioned (I believe he works for A Deign & Co sasukemaniac.proboards.com/post/140571 ) I think it's reasonable to assume that Venice won't be happening the second week of March as it did last year. I hope I'm wrong because that's when I took the time off work

Given how every year I've been doing it it's started at a different point I don't make plans till announcement. Anw4 first week of march, anw5 first or second week of april. Anw6 want to say late March and last year mid March. Given how no calls have officially gone out yet I'd assume a mid March-April starting point for regions Also what if Venice wasn't a region this year what would seem like a best guess for the west region. I'd guess either phoenix or Santa clara

I'd guess either phoenix or Santa clara you are right Joe, I requested the time off thinking I have nothing to lose. I 'm hoping that I can still take time off work on a later date but yea it's not always easy to do that and it would have been nice if the dates were more consistent. I'd love to see the west coast regional happen close to the Bay Area which is somewhat in the middle of the map, although Venice is warmer and therefore better for walk ons.

I hope it's not this year.. but wasn't there outrage before because they were announced only a couple weeks in advance a previous year? Again, I hope they give you more leeway.
