Seems we're moving closer to the ANW format this year. We'll see try-outs in Stockholm, Göteborg, Malmö, Karlstad and Umeå before the contestants meet up in the final stage.

Any update from season 2 of this? I am still viewing partial footage from season 2 and they are still in the city finals.
So far the best one was this, a Vietnamese athlete who would have been in Sasuke Vietnam and won it all:
But in the first round, he slumped in the 4th obstacle (still somehow qualifies to the next round):

When I looked in the two stages of the finals of Ninja Warrior Sweden, they are nearly the same as the one in Ninja Warrior UK.
Stage 1 with a competitor finishing the course:
Stage 2 with a bit of stage 3:

Seriously that cliffhanger is impossible.

Would they have better luck trying to jump over to that short catch ledge, or are they not allowed to skip ledges?

... what? What is up with that cliffhanger? Did they assign the design of that thing to an intern?

Would they have better luck trying to jump over to that short catch ledge, or are they not allowed to skip ledges? I would assume DQ. Just like how they want you to touch each rung on the SL on Sasuke.

Am I the only one who thinks the cliffhanger in that video doesn't look bad aside from the big reach up which even then still looks very possible?

Am I the only one who thinks the cliffhanger in that video doesn't look bad aside from the big reach up which even then still looks very possible? There is tester footage of a NWUK tester almost clearing it, which means it is definitely possible. It was much easier in season 1.

Ya'll haven't seen UNCLI videos I see. LOL UNCLI is a little different I think. They train like whenever they can, and with all due respect I don't think many Swedes are able to live that same lifestyle

That last new clip isn't the only one with the Cliffhanger attempt, so is this:
I am a little baffled how those guys designed that impossible Cliffhanger. If ANW season 8 features that to the modified ultimate Cliffhanger, even I'll bet that Issac Caldiero can still make the climb since he has long hands, and only the athletes with long hands can able to do this.

ATS built this thing.. the same people that built ANW.. I'm honestly surprised why people are upset about that. Isn't this what people wanted?

^Besides the fact this is also by ATS, if ANW8 changes the UCH to that we'd have 5 champions... THIS was a thing A thing attempted 17 times between ANW7 and USA vs The World, and the gap everyone complains is OP is on this same cliffhanger, and you know how many times that same gap was failed? ONCE! The people in those two Sweden videos had awful technique on that gap, it's really not as bad as everyone is making it out to be Also... That only fail on the gap was as close at the first vid and WAY closer than the 2nd video, this is more an issue with the competitors than the obstacle
