I hope the course is slightly more original than NWUK... Also is this confirmed or is it up in the air like Ninja Warrior Germany?

Are you asking if the event itself is officially confirmed? or the format specific? The event itself is definitely confirmed. Dentsu was already confirmed a few months ago to have taken over in spreading Ninja Warrior in Europe. This is one of many in the works and one of a few actually announced. As for format, it's already confirmed to be Story Lab which are the same people who produced NWUK. How it will turn out we don't know yet. If it's held outdoors like Sweden then maybe there's hope for a more interesting course.

Sweden seemed a much better course and format than NW:UK although that might have been due to NW:UK being limited by space due to being in such a small indoor arena. If it's outdoors with decent space I have good hope that NW:France will be decent and entertaining

A weird jumping spider thing without a trampoline (think it was a rope). Zero original obstacles. A Miska cliffhanger that looked like it was built in someone's backyard. Stage two was a weird mishmash of random obstacles, with no time limit, making obstacles like Wall Lift literally pointless. Yeah the NWUK course was unoriginal and limited, but at least it was all coherent and made sense from a course designing perspective.

Tbf Ninja Warrior UK Season 1 was just as bad design wise but by the sound of it Season 2 was much better design wise. I just wished they had more than 12 people in the final

With the explicit title, I'd expect to see guys like David Belle and Sebastien Foucan murder this course, at least up until a shaky Salmon Ladder. I would be surprised if McColl didn't try out, considering he lives there. I wonder how things would work out for someone like Asya Grechka, whether she gets Shieff'd, or is allowed to compete on both because she's a featured female in ANW and Team NW.

Looking good so far! Hopefully it's better than the UK version which is probably the worst in the franchise because like arsenette said, it's so boring and a real eyesore because of them cheering every breath they take. XD

Let's be honest. France, Germany, UK... all will end up the same. If you don't like the format, you won't like them, and if you can bear the format, you might. Simple as that.
As for the course. I'm disappointed. Somehow, despite it being outdoors and having space, the course looks just as cramped as NWUK's and as unoriginal as all non ANW western ninja competitions. At least NWUK can blame it on the weather and limited space. What's their excuse?

That is what happens when you base a handful of separate competitions on a single obstacle course (Sasuke 27) and never invest the effort into creating original obstacles of your own. Whatever your opinions on ANW, they have at least made some cool and original ideas, to make them stand out on their own without 100% ripping off sasuke these days. Hell, even the mediocre NWUK course managed to squeeze out the occasional new obstacle variant, but France looks 100% copy and paste.

Wait a sec...

Don't forget the Floating Crepes... And the Warped Arc de Triomphe. easy if you have a bike but all kidding aside, yeah its obstacles we've all seen before but that's the way it is anymore, every show seems to be derived from ANW so look what happens...we get ANW quality obstacles. That's how it goes anymore IMHO
