Oh for crying out loud, I only stayed up to watch Brock, so I couldn't be bothered to check out the main event...and an upset (I suppose to a casual fan like myself) occurred. My luck. There's a Fatal-4 Way joke somewhere...

WOWWWW... So Bork has supposedly failed a drug test that the results came out today, and Mark Hunt has asked for half of Bork's earnings (so half of $2.5 million, a cool $1.25 million) or to be RELEASED from UFC. This is very interesting

Wonderful fight. I'm a casual UFC viewer but I think the right guy got the decision, especially considering the knockdowns.

McGregor/Diaz 2 wasn't my personal favorite as I didn't have the emotional connection like say, Forrest Griffin winning The Ultimate Fighter which got me into MMA but it was a damn good fight and I'm happy it went five rounds. I say get the third done and let Conor drop the Featherweight belt because he clearly is not interested in it. Let that division breath after being smothered by a champion that won't defend it.
UFC 202 however WAS one of the best MMA events I've seen. Cowboy finishing Story, Rumble needing just 13 seconds and the main event going the distance is as great a progression you want. 203 should be magic as well.

Never give up Punk!
Despite the fact that you went through a ton of tough times of practice in your mini-show, and somewhat came in UFC 203 with setbacks happening to your life, you still became a champion in my opinion.
(In case if anyone wants to know what happened, Punk lost to Gall in the first round.)
Like Gall said, he wanted to beat up a superstar. Well, he got that wish come true.

Yeah, "Dr. Straightedge or: How I Learned To Stop Wrestling And Love The MMA" was a box office flop. Gall went immediately for the take down and proceeded to mount Punk for 2 minutes and win via RNC. UFC president Dana White told reporters after the fight that Punk will not fight again in the UFC.
A controversial co-main event saw #1 contender Fabricio Werdum defeat Travis Browne by unanimous decision. Browne was incorrectly granted a time out after dislocating his finger in the first round. Following the fight, Werdum kicked Browne's coach after trading words.
In the main event, Cleveland native Stipe Miocic thrilled the hometown crowd with a first-round knockout of Alistair Overeem to retain the UFC Heavyweight Championship.

Usually UFC bores me but I wanted to watch CM Punk's fight, I'm glad I did since that was f***ing hilarious, I'm not sure which was funnier, the fact he got taken down after trying to go for one hit, or the fact that at one point he tried to kick out since he clearly had no clue how the f*** he was supposed to get out of that LOL

UFC 205 is tonight! Did anyone see Khabib "Russian Brock Lesnar" Nurmagomedov wreck Michael Johnson in the prelims?

That fight was great and I hope Dana pulls the trigger on a sequel. Also, Khabib got screwed out of a POTN bonus

What are the chances that the powers that be in WWE watched McGregor's promo after his fight and realised they need to get rid of scripted promos in WWE?

What are the chances that the powers that be in WWE watched McGregor's promo after his fight and realised they need to get rid of scripted promos in WWE? WWE has unfettered post-match interviews; they just unfortunately belong to the short, fallout promos on YouTube or the post-shows. Almost no promo in WWE is fully 'shoot' -- they need to stray away from everyone spouting off something word for word (unless they need the help) I agree, but even the big time names with more freedom have always had 'bulletpoints' they needed to hit in their promo, they're just given the ability to build up to those bulletpoints. Scripted promos aren't inherently a bad thing; it's when the script is trash is the problem.

Yeah I meant overly-scripted promos that reek of HHH & Steph. I can't stand shoot promos nowadays because only a few can actually do them with impact. None of them really make me feel anything towards them with their words. McGregor's promo didn't even feel like a shoot- it was sort of cheesy and comedic in a good way. It was based around his persona. That's what's missing nowadays- genuine reactions. It's a chore to watch promos nowadays- there's no excitement unless it's a veteran (Jericho) or a part-timer (Goldberg, Lesnar) who's talking.

Amanda's post-fight interview was all over the place- it was like a HHH promo where she kept repeating herself...except hers was about 17 minutes shorter and didn't bore me.

We're all Team Mcgregor here right? I mean yeah but there's a 0% chance of Conor winning this fight. It's going the distance and Floyd will win on points like he always does, and it will suck like it always does.

Kevin Lee v Michael Chiesa was a massive disappointment and the ref f**ked up the finish, go watch it and lol at Mario's s**t officiating

Mario's definitely fallen off from time to time, but I don't know if I can blame him for this one. Even commentary was fooled by that. When you've been chewed out for your "if he dies, he dies" mentality, you're gonna have a moment when you overcorrect for the sake of the fighter. And Chiesa damn sure looked out once you looked glazed over and your hands suddenly stop. It's all about perception to the official; Chiesa may very well had been trying to time out a rotation to try and turn towards Lee, but like I said, most people thought he was out, Mario included. If Chiesa was out and Mario decided to let Lee choke him out for 10 seconds, people would be saying Mario put Chiesa in danger. Chiesa lost the chance to recover (though he looked pretty unlikely), Lee lost the surefire win, so guess we have a rematch.
