In the last four months:
Anderson Silva Anthony Pettis Chris Weidman Conor McGregor Donald Cerrone Jose Aldo Holly Holm Paige VanZant Ronda Rousey Sage Northcutt TJ Dillashaw
ALL have lost. This has been a horrible few months for the UFC.

First 3 main-card fights were super boring tho. Meisha's fight was sweet because she was for-sure about to lose otherwise. Nate & Connor ,just two bad-a**es going at it. Huge respect to Nate for stepping up. Been a fan since TUF 5 #209

The Mayweather curse lives on. First Ronda and now Conor.

Per numerous sources, Conor McGregor has retired.
Ariel Helwani reports that McGregor's sudden retirement is legitimate with no clear reason why. In related news, CM Punk sarcastically tweeted his retirement but he is perhaps just throwing shade on McGregor's announcement.

I think it's all talk, I don't see why McGregor would suddenly retire at his peak of making so much money. I think he's justt trolling tbf but it seems interesting

People are legitimately thinking he might try to join WWE. It would be quite a lot of cash coming out of Vince's pocket if it would happen, but damn. Dana White must be scratching his bald head right now

There is 0% chance Vince would book a 145lb 5ft8 guy like McGregor as a credible threat even with his past. he might make a special appearance but that's it. Tbf I think its a strategic move as the new main event will probably be Dos Anjos vs Diaz for lightweight belt. Then McGregor can get the belt off Diaz at like 205 when Ronda returns at a supershow. He's legit one of the cleverest Ufc/WWE fighters there is, theres definitely more to it than just he didnt want to leave halfway through training in Iceland.

In what can only be called a stunner, Ovince Saint Preux lasted all five rounds with Jon Jones, oft regarded as one of the greatest fighters in UFC history. Jones, however, won by unanimous decision.
In the co-main event, Demetrious Johnson staked his claim at #1 pound-for-pound fighter with a decisive first-round TKO of Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo.

Ultimate Fighting Championship MCMVII: The Bells of Saint Preux CXCVII is 197, not MCMVII (1907). That confused the crap out of me for awhile, thought it was a parody post until I decided to google some of the fights.
