Just saw that part, I get it now, I was confusing where I read someone flipped on the Flying Chute and failed and where I heard Levi fliped on the Jumping Spider, So he flipped onto the runup, that was pretty cool actually.

I don't mind the flip itself - during the Monster Box portion of the Sportsman No. 1 shows someone (usually Iketani) inevitably does a flip over the box without touching it just to show off. It happens. But during a timed course, it makes little sense to do something that may cost you seconds. It's just showboating and it can either endear yourself to the crowd or make you out to be a buffoon.

Oh, and if anyone was wondering, the white text that suddenly appeared at the top of the screen during SASUKE Maniac was just the standard earthquake alert. A M4.1 in Iwate prefecture I believe.

Well Levi had the best time in Sasuke 20 for the first stage. And most people stop to step down so that would have very little impact on his time.
Although what was Levi doing competing during the day anyways? I thought he would get a high high number (Like 98 or 99). Unless they got through each run fast.
Although what was the wrestler guy saying in his interview anyways? I couldn't understand him "I'm going to take this Ninja Warrior like *Something something something something*, I'm going to take it serious"

Ugh Rider... did you not watch the entire thing?
it was even bright when Nagano was doing it, and he's number 100.
They were obviously getting through the tourney pretty fast.
it could be because of a lot of things.
not as many mechanical failuers, faster reset time, more people failing or just the show itself picking up pace.
I think that's a good sign actually, it seems like a bunch of people will pass stage 1.

I only saw parts one and two so far actually. I was just doing my own live post while it was loading parts.

It doesn't surprise me that it was still light out when the higher numbers did their runs.

Some slightly interesting comments by All-Stars (completely paraphrased and aggregated from separate interviews into a representative statement of their state of mind):
Takeda: "I've been sucking recently because I've been taking it too seriously, I'm just gonna have fun this time. Oh, by the way, I'm in the best shape I've been in for a long time."
Yamamoto: "This seems out of character for me, but I really really want to make it this time, so I'm gonna take it seriously."
Nagano: "I failed last time, so I did lots of training and I should make it to the 3rd if I don't make dumb mistakes. But let's take it a step at a time."
Shiratori: "My back still kinda hurts, but I'm back. I'm still a bit worried, but first up is clearing the first stage, and we'll see what happens from there."
Yamada: "I know I say the same thing every time, but really, I just want to try my best and clear [the 1st stage]. I've been training for that for half a year, after all."

I believe that is Passion Yara. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure he's a comedian that competed before in ... I think... Sasuke 17.

My first time watching the Japanese broadcast for any SASUKE event... even though I don't understand a word of what they're saying, it was much more enjoyable than watching the edited versions on G4.

BTW... Is it me, or is anybody else annoyed by the ending the G4 fluffpiece this morning; "We're the Ninja Warriors and we're coming for you!" That's a misquotation. They said, "We're coming for you, Sasuke," which is of course a completely different thing. It means they're coming for the course.
