This is one of the most depressing Sasuke related things I've ever seen. Someone using the name just to steal money, sad.

Yeah that's my only concern. I totally want Sasuke worldwide but I also was worried people would use the name recognition to line their pockets with cash. I loathe how people use others for a quick buck. If they truly are serious about it then they would do what China did and pay a license fee. However, nothing about this is giving me hope it's nothing more than a con preying on people's desires. Can confirm that the Paypal button is a dud and they want you to do the transactions manually. So looks like they are indeed grabbing shirt money. Still don't know what the deal with registration money is. Thank you for the additional info! This keeps getting fishier and fisher the more we dig.. :S

Super sad that someone would use the Ninja Warrior name to scam others. What has this world come to....
Hell I think the police should be involved.

Sent ya a PM on that link btw. And yeah, they are processing payments via email so they can get the full credit card numbers and signatures. They *could* be doing paypal but over email, but who knows. What concerns me more is that it appears they paid literally the minimum possible on the website builder just to mask the URL. They could have paid 7$ more per month for the store to work properly, but they didn't. That kind of cheap attitude is not normal of a respectable business. Worse yet, they could have made a Cafepress, made cheaper shirts, and not have had to pay a cent for web hosting.

They never sent me a waiver, and all the social media accounts have been inactive since arsenette asked about their affiliation with NBC/TBS. I wonder if something's going on in the background or if they're just not maintaining their presence

I wonder if something's going on in the background or if they're just not maintaining their presence Seems like people are getting more aware that it's a scam, and they're not falling for it. Either way, I'm glad we all put a stop to this. And because of this, I've also found other people in my area that share the same interests in training for Ninja Warrior

I checked it out on Whois, it's owned by a relatively-obscure Greek former collegiate basketball player who is apparently now involved in the sporting goods industry. Really sketchy...

But seriously, the fact that some greasy little bastard got my hopes up that I'd finally be able to compete only to realize how fake it really is, pisses me right off. Hopefully actual networks notice all the attention this has gotten and at least consider a legit version, but then again, why put effort into it when they can just buy stuff from the States and hijack the signal when it airs like they already do.

Update: Seems like they've been switching back and forth between the NinjaWarriorCAN and NinjaWarriorCA twitter accounts. The latter had an update on the 12th. But I feel the same way as mattskills right now, I'm pretty pissed.

The Instagram picture is of the Movement Lab in New Jersey (i.e. not Canada). This has left sad territory and is now venturing into pathetic.
