Yuuji's choice of footwear in the "quarter" shot is still freaking me out. I know he sells shoes and all, but those little girl shoes are just wrong. They look like trampoline shoes all tarted up.

I didn't notice that until you pointed it out XD Too busy noticing he was looking at the ground with a thumbs up pose XD

You called the Heartbreaker the Heavenly Climb. Or is there something I'm missing and the Spider Flip changed into you have to climb a pole and across a spinning sideways +

The producers really need to lower the Spider Flip. People can get from that high up. Say if Nagano attempted the obstacle and his foot slipped and he fell backwards headfirst into the water. Death or concussion at the best. Especially if you're tired, like you said arsenette, they might be too tired to swim out or keep themselves from drowning.

One positive thing is that they have people on the lookout for anyone in the water as was evident by the girl in stage 1 that was caught almost immediately. In Viking the pit was actually a pool and you did have someone fall from that distance. Granted I think the drop was even higher in Viking for some reason. Teru dropped from that exact same distance and was fine. I mean there is the risk of massive injury on a lot of the obstacles and there have been pretty bad injuries in the past. I can only assume Kanno just made a judgment call on his own. I don't know what the English translation was of his speech at the end or if he ever said anything in his blog (I can't access that.. it's in Mixi). I'm sure in the next few months we will find out his reasoning behind it.

Wasn't there also some girl who couldn't swim in Kunoichi 1? And in Kunoichi 2 or something there was someone who couldn't get back to the surface and the lifeguards dragged her to the ground (And the G4 subs said the announcer said that she reminded him of a beached whale)
And you're welcome on catching that one, I'm truely a geek for noticing that it's a different Viking obstacle.... And proud of it!
And yeah, the dubbing said the Heartbreaker was 25 feet up and TERU (I think it's supposed to be spelt in all caps) fell off on the climb and was unhurt. (which is surprising considering Viking's safety record).
Mixi?

Mixi is Japan's version of MySpace/Facebook but you have to be invited in and have a valid Japanese account. It's all behind a firewall so anyone who does not have a mixi account cannot see the contents of the community.

I believe it was made this way by request. Most people in Japan are vehement about their privacy. Quite frankly I believe it fits perfectly. I know I'd like a community that way.. which is why I refuse to be on Facebook or MySpace.

You spelt Periphery as Perifery during the celebration of Yuuji clearing.
And BTW the banners they have all combined spell out KanzenSeiha. Ube said that in the commercial topic.
... .... ..... Wait.... ... You mean to tell me Chariots of Fire isn't Ben-Hur with Flamethrowers!?
