Great episode covering USA vs. World (first episode of the 2 you are doing since the 2nd one is Team Ninja Warrior). The last part of it was a nice touch. People forget the difference in caliber of competitor in both shows. The focus of each person is sooooooo different between both shows it really becomes apparent in this type of format. This is why I wish it was more vs. obstacle instead of versus person. If they knew that clearing was enough instead of time the results would be MUCH closer and IMO would ramp up the drama in the show. I doubt they would change the format though but this would even the playing field. Too much emphasis on zomg have to do this so much faster detracts from clearing the course. Points for obstacles cleared would be a better gauge of overall skill and use how fast they cleared it as a tiebreaker. IMO obviously.
What's funny is that I often wonder how much stronger Yuusuke would be if he trained like the Americans do. He only trains 20% of his time since he focuses on his life first. He graduates with his masters in March and already has a job lined up. I expect his training will go down from there at least for the first year since he'll move out of his parents home (where he has the obstacles).

That really was a great episode and Bijan touching on why Japan has struggled here was nice. I would love to see a more neutral site used for the ANW vs special. Something like a newly designed course in Hawaii, where everyone is flying and no one did the same course 24 hrs earlier.
One note that no one else has mentioned (that I've seen) is something said on the 1st Wolfpack podcast. Isaac Caldiero told them he's done competing. They all think he will change his mind but it's interesting that we may have seen the last of him in ANW on the special.
