I thought it was fantastic! The 2nd stage was absolutly owned by 4 people in no time lol The 3rd stage was owned in record time. A suprising DQ on a guy who was on his way too! Final stage attempt and NEARLY cleared too - suprising time limit but I was right about the obstacles all along since 20! The gliding ring owned lol Seeing all new people in stages 2 3 and 4 and not a regular in sight it was like the break out of a new era for sasuke in terms of talent. The new obstacles were cool I quite like the circle hammer, the slider thing is lethal took out big names. Of course the drama - Nagano , Takeda, Levi etc all the big expected ones going out early. David Campbells vallant effort at the course I hope he gets another shot. No Olivia on screen . The whole thing blew all of our predictions to shreds and made for gripping tv. Shingos's balls up on the halfpipe ledge was sad but funny at same time. I'm sure can add more later. Hail the new kid whatever his name is!!! He HAS to get another shot.

Sorry. I guess I was upset to not join the party. I will ask no more until I see anything. Haha, it's not an order, it's just a lot more fun to watch when you don't know what happened.

Shingos's balls up on the halfpipe ledge was sad but funny at same time. ....ouch, if that sounds like what I think it sounds like, I think we've got our Warrior Wipeout of Sasuke 22. Either way, I look forward to its eventual posting someplace.... Really can't wait until next year now, so many new promising people! ....next YEAR? As in, this is the only one they're having in '09?

I'm bummed the Americans didn't fare better. With Levi and Brian, America should have been the new blood but it seems like the STQ's and the UNCLI crowd could take up that mantle. I wonder how Monster9 will handle the All-Stars if they want to go in a new direction?

I was bummed Levi didn't make it, but at the same time, Nagano failed on the exact same obstacle Levi failed on so in a way I guess I'd rather have the flying chute still there!

Ok, here we go. SASUKE 22: The Good, The Bad, and the What the @*$#!@#!!! The Good... 1. Obviously having someone make it to the Final Stage is amazing in itself, but for it to be a newcomer (what's his name?) makes it all that much more unbelievable. He was real close to Total Victory too. What a performance! 2. Seeing the other newcomer (again- name?) tear up the course until he was DQ (boo!). He'll be back and I expect great things from him again. 3. Seeing Lee En Zhi in the 3rd stage. Don't know if he'll make the final stage in the future, but he keeps improving. He said he was unhappy with his performance and I'm sure will work hard to do even better. 4. Okuyama and Sato- very unexpected but that seems to be the theme this time around. 5. It was great to see Akiyama again although the result was disappointing. 6. Paul Terek was cool- too bad he failed the dreaded Slider Jump 7. Rie Komiya- wow- this girl is not only a great athlete but so sexy! (my wife is not around- whew!) 8. Mr. Sasuke didn't cry! what a treat.. 9. David Campbell had a decent run but just used up too much time- he should get another shot 10. And of course TVants worked great and to see this live again was awesome! The Bad... 1. You just knew that Nagano was going to fail that damn Slider Jump after the rest of his pals failed. Deja vu- Sasuke 19 all over again! very disappointing.. 2. Only 5 guys making the 2nd stage: should have been more but for that new Slider Jump and the net which actually was as difficult as the jump and grab part IMO. 3. Takeda- has to be the biggest disappointment along with Nagano- both make it farther than anyone else had last time around and both failed the first stage this time. Quite shocking... 4. Levi's run: you could tell he was devastated. His confidence is really shot now and I wonder if we'll see him again 5. My Japanese....I wish I could understand the names as we have 2 new competitors that I think we'll be hearing a lot about in the future. The @!*&!@&^%... 1. Barack Obama double? those other 2 guys with people waving US flags? WTF? Ridiculous... 2. Shingo, shingo, shingo...what can you say? I didn't think it could get any worse but I was wrong. Time to retire Shingo and watch Sasuke 23 on your TV. 3. Sasuke "All-stars": well, that was just plain embarrassing. Even Nagana and Takeda looked out of sorts. The winds of change are a blowing folks... 4. Japanese gymnast's DQ: After such an amazing performance, it was sad to see him DQ'd like that. He really was torn up..TBS needs to get its act together so this doesn't happen again. You'd think they would have learned their lesson after Nagano's DQ in #18. 5. The new Gliding Ring: Wow! it does really glide now. Too bad for Nagano it didn't glide in #21 or he would have been climbing up that rope. At least they changed it.. 6. TBS/Monster 9: Jumping from #50 to #77? HUH? What happened to everyone from 50-77? Actually, the baseball guy, then back to 77, then forward, back $%$%%$ someone needs a slap upside the head! All in all a very unexpected, shocking competition. This could be the beginning of a new chapter in Sasuke! God-bye All-stars and hello....what are their names? ?

I noticed that too. In fact they did a lot of jumping around. For example, they showed that Audrey guy (#30), then Luci, then a few more runs, then Shingo (#31). It really messes up the flow.

Even though I have no proof whatsoever, I blame the new producer.

All in all a very unexpected, shocking competition. This could be the beginning of a new chapter in Sasuke! God-bye All-stars and hello....what are their names? ? I swear NO ONE Reads my blogs.. I wonder why I write them.. /sigh Yuuji Urushihara 漆原裕治 - Shoe salesman who qualified for Sasuke 21 via BUG-IN-MIKI win against the All-Stars (he was the stage 4 climber) Kanno Hitoshi (from Ube's blog) - the one that went off course on the spider flip.

all I can say is wow wow wow !!!! So much to mention I'm sure I'll forget something but here I go
First off was it me or were the competitors not shown in order its not a big deal for me I just thought that TBS always did thats all.
I felt really bad for David he really looked like he really wanted to clear I guess he just spent a little too much time preparing for each obstacle. still a shame that he timed out the way he did
I wish Shingo would concentrate more. I really thought that he would have cleared stage 1 this time
Takada was a real shock for me failing like that
Levi really belted through the course he didn't even bother to pause for the jumping spider he just ran up and did it which was impressive. He did seem a little over confident before his run though
Nagano was depressing for me as well. but he didn't seem to be up for it this time maybe its just me but I thought he seemed pre occupied Also what a pleasant surprise to see Rie Komiya, Mr octopus , Hand Glider man and the Model guy (Sorry I don't know their proper names)
Terek made it past the Jumping Spider Which I never thought he would be able to do shame the slider got him as well
Also loved the new slider obstacle it looks a lot harder than I first thought didn't like the Circle Hammer at all most competitors appeared to find it easier than the Pole Maze
Stage two whizzed by Weird for me not to see any Salmon Ladder failures (I know this was technically the case in 20 but you get what I mean) Glad that the Metal Spin is still there I love that obstacle.I guess its pretty likely that the time limit will go down in 23
Stage three was tense the STQ's really went through the first three obstacles at speed. The DQ was disheartening unfortunately I Didn't get to see the last two runs due to something going on at my house. So will have to watch those later
I thought the time limit was too long on the Final Stage possibly 40 sec would do it. I actually like the idea of a rope ladder than final rope. another couple of seconds and we would have defiantly had a new champion. Did anyone see the persons hand by the button ? I really Loved that even the staff were cheering him on. I noticed they didn't cut the rope for some reason that disappointed me (though I could understand why that cant happen)
In all it was a great tournament with lots of drama I really enjoyed it cant wait to watch it again. very entertaining bring on 23 !!!!!!

Did anyone else notice, during the replay of someone (I can't remember who) failing the Jumping Spider, there was someone running in the background who tripped and fell over? That was awesome.

I really don't feel like writing a really long thing, since most people have already written my thoughts. I personally think though that this is going to be the rise of the younger generation like Urushihara, and I also feel that the allstars are going to be failing earlier on much more often now unfortunately, since they have to keep the course tough for those that clear the stages.

Wow, my own thread, and I didn't even realize I hadn't said anything. Well, basically, everyone summed it up for me. "Wtf...c'mon" fails: Takeda, Shingo "What, again?" fails: Yamada, Akiyama "s***, I thought they were better than this" fails: Nagano, Levi "Wow, this dude is awesome" : Urushihara "Finally!" moments: Okuyama and Lee to Stage 3, Sato to stage 2.
Also thought the time limit for the Final was too long. I'm fine with the obstacles, but maybe 37.5 or so secs would've been good.

this tourney had everything from heart-stopping moments to extreme excitement. Agreed If you spent a lot of time yelling either in disbelief or joy.. it was worth the price of admission

Really, we didn't pay for any of this, so, even if it was crap, it was worth the price that we paid.(Except for the JNet guy)
