It's great to see James "The Beast" McGrath back in action, but if Drew and Flip were there that would have been more fun. Also I wonder why Brent Steffensen isn't on the USA team since he did participate in X Warrior.... briefly. I found out after I did the podcast that Brent got a paid job offer so he opted out of going back to China and gave his spot to someone else. To my knowledge he came up with the team in the first place.

In which episode is Brian Orosco competing? They seem to be caught up or almost caught up. To my knowledge they are doing 1 episode per match up and I think Netherlands vs. China is up first? USA has their own episode along with the other match ups. Unsure though when they are going to air them or if they will be in order of taping. If they are caught up with their regionals then it may be next week. I think there are 4 team match ups. arsenette you called it, China vs. Netherlands is up

Cool. Yeah my friend Perry was on it. He was the team Captain. Bunch of stuff happened though and during practice he fubarred his ankle. He was so upset by that.

The course is really curious. I wonder if this build is for just the International teams, or for the actual finals course. If it were for finals, it seems incredibly short and somewhat easy. Hoping it is just for the international. {Course Images} {Obstacle List} Stage 1: Quintuple Steps Pole Grasper Devil Steps Warped Wall
Stage 2: Arm Rings into Rope Tilt Bridge Ring Toss Spider Climb
Stage 3: Rope Jungle Salmon Ladder Unstable Bridge Cliffhanger Hang Climb
Stage 4: Tsuna Nobori (15m?)
EDIT: Does anyone understand what happened at 35:40?

So how rigged was the team comps? lol Just finished watching, and I've gotta say, the answer is not at all. In most cases it was very clear who won based on failed obstacles, and they did a few side-by-side runs to show people competing near the same time, which was cool. There is absolutely no reason to believe any of this was rigged or even tampered with in the slightest. It was pretty close, and either team could have taken this in my opinion. The only weird thing was a DQ, but it looks like it was because the competitor used both hands on 1 ring for the arm rings to get through. Really intense match up, really excited to see the next few runs. Everyone seems to be very respectful and the course, while being a little different than we've seen on Sasuke, is actually pretty cool.

So how rigged was the team comps? lol Not at all. I'm reaaaaaally happy to say that. They changed rules around last minute and whatnot but the actual results were legit. I was legitimately worried about that but by all accounts it was run fairly. yay!

I like that the teams are scored per stage rather than per run, and since they're using best of 5 instead of 3, it feels much more fleshed out and less dependent on a single good/bad run. Vietnam vs. Eurasia used the same scoring system and it was great as well. If I may ask, and it isn't confidential, what were the last minute rule changes? Just how they actually arranged the scoring?

Yeah the scoring and how that was set up changed on gameday. It was the original USA vs. format so last minute they had to change who was going up against since the format changed. Each stage also had a different rule and how they set up their matchups also changed last minute. More than that is still confidential stuff and honestly I didn't go into the individual scoring on how that went out with the 3 match ups (with the 2 still to be aired). My biggest concern was whether or not results were rigged, etc. given what happened last year. I'm just happy in 2015 both world events (China and ANW) were fair.

Whatever changes they made in the background for scoring, they worked very well. Vietnam vs Team Japan/Europe was an excellent version as well, so I'm quite liking this international specials. I do hope that they continue the momentum that they're building and we get to see a few more. Do we know if Team China will be the same for all 3 matchups? Also, I know we have US and Netherlands, do we know for sure what the 3rd guest team is (I don't recognize any competitors)

I like the standalone Hang Climb in the 3rd stage. Well considering the politics from the background which were all sorts of icky (which caused TBS to pull the Japanese team).. the rest of it at least went according to plan (even if it was thrown together in a couple of weeks with the competitors and not the countries coming up with the international teams..). Honestly, if each country's spin offs had their own version and played nice I'm sure the people who love watching these sorts of things would be entertained. The interest is certainly there.

I hope we'll see some new and interesting obstacles next season cause we've seen these obstacles like a 1000 times before. The Netherlands match was ok, but a little boring, the most interesting moment was the Chinese guy who demolished stage 1 in just 50 seconds.

The DQ is actually Xie Bin (competitor's name) who actually started early twice (he have second chances). He did not wait for the starting signal to call in. In other words, he committed a false start twice.
