I don't like it because it's boring for me. And I find the courses to be quite fugly.

Like I said earlier, they are having their own Versus competition. Not sure about the teams but there are definitely people from the US, UK, parts of Europe, Taiwan, Singapore and of course China.

I find it hard to believe TBS would run a world cup without the stars of the show! If it's held in Japan, by TBS, under the SASUKE name, not having Japan would just be... sacrilegious

I can understand why TBS wouldn't want to be involved with X Warrior

I can understand why TBS wouldn't want to be involved with X Warrior Yeah it's a complicated situation on top of the natural animosity that China has against Japan historically speaking. To be clear this is not the World Cup that they announced earlier this year, this is a team event that China thought of last minute and scraped together anyone that would come (except for Japan). TBS in protest pulled the team but since China legitimately paid for the license, they could run that event without TBS' help. So that's what they did. It's not how it was originally envisioned but then again TBS wasn't expecting a faction in China to rip off the show in the first place. It was just a bad situation. Brian OroscoEvan DollardEither way, a couple from Team USA outed that they went.

I see Salmon Ladder and Unstable Bridge in the first pic, I may also see something based on the Ninja warrior UK version of Rope Jungle I assume. In the second pic I see Evan Dollard has been possessed by Randy Orton (Sorry, couldn't resist, thatoneuser made the comparison a couple days ago anyways so he gets credit for that joke)

I wonder how oversized the finals course will be. Imagine what the final stage is gonna look like! It'll be HUUUUGE!

Law of SMF upheld. Thanks Evan.
Anyway, shame on me for not thinking of "I do burpees in my head" earlier.
Go Team USA. For jingoistic reasons, I hope we look really, really strong.

Hey does anybody know why Brian Orosco isn't competing in ANW anymore? Will he be back for ANW 8? I really hope he will. He was so good and he had so much potential. It's about damn time he makes a comeback. If he won't compete in the US version because it's too demanding then do at least compete in the Japanese version.

I think he stopped because of his 3 tourney fail streak. Maybe NBC got sick of letting him comeback. Hell, his ANW 6 run was only a digest.

I honestly don't know the exact details, however I remember a few years back most of the major Free-running groups boycotted ANW. Some because of the NDA restrictions and others because they were disillusioned by how much the show had changed from it's inception and how they were treated. I don't know if Brian fell into that category but most of Tempest did. I'm happy though that Brian went up there along with the other guys. I know most are still holding out hope that they would return to Japan. I'd love to see them return. Sadly none of us are in any control over that.
