So Philip noticed something while watching the USA vs China episode, this part in particular. Apparently ANW/Sasuke isn't the only thing these guys outright ripped off, since apparently this was used for James McGrath And I just find that funny Not to mention they used a version of the Super Street Fighter IV main theme for Team USA's hype piece! I can get behind that kind of piracy Not the only thing from Street Fighter. The 'VS' logo they used is the exact one from Street Fighter. Not sure if it was recolored by them or a different asset, but it is 100% taken from Street Fighter

X Warrior has the potential to be great but the main issues are the oversized obstacles and strange stages.

I mean ANW put images of giant Pom bottles at the bottom of the water tanks this year, put a ton of signs everywhere for them, called the warm up area the "Pom Warmup Zone" and had guys trowing bottles of Pom and Pom hoodies to people in the crowd, aside from the fact they have the zones where you can drink it on the course instead of off it seems like Hi-Tiger is much more modest in sponsorship

Does anybody know when the next season of this Sasuke China: X Warrior will air? I know Sasuke Vietnam will air a few weeks earlier before ANW 8 and there's no sign of an air date for Sasuke 32.

As far as I know there hasn't been any word on recording of a season 2, They started losing money when they had to actually pay the licensing fee so they're probably going to go copying some other show

Just wondering: do we have any info on the Wipeout knock-off with the red and blue course?

The summer programs, assuming it would have a similar slot, would start either on Thursday June 9th or 16th. That said, I wouldn't hold my breath at all for a Season 2. *If* there is ever a season 2, TBS would make them do a lot more stringent planing and preparations and I highly doubt they'd be prepared to start this year considering how big a mess things were. Also, we'd most likely hear something from TBS/Inui confirming the show 's revival well in advance.

That Wipeout-looking one aired in June, so if there is something this year, then we should see clips around then. They have a playlist for last year with 112 episodes.

Not specifically about X Warrior, but China is drastically limiting shows adapted from international formats. [ 1] [ 2] [ 3] A channel can only air up to two foreign or foreign-adapted shows during primetime, and only one new such show per year but not during primetime for the first year. The goal is to "promote domestic originality". I wonder what can be made that hasn't already been successfully made, especially with reality competitions / game shows. Something "original" may end up similar enough to feel like a knockoff. Maybe they can make a better obstacle course show... Ultimate Zodiacmaster... Pirate... Splashout... Athenian Race... Chinese Dynasty Warrior...

Interesting. On the other hand, until they got caught, they weren't "adapting" SASUKE either. They still haven't been called out on their Wipeout clone. I wonder if X-Warrior and the Voice of China having licensing issues in the same year helped prod this along. And it could affect X-Warrior if the ratings are not good enough to keep around (no idea about X-Warrior ratings btw).

I've been trying to follow up on the show recently and it doesn't appear to be going anywhere. No announcements, no casting, nothing. The only mention of a 2nd season was in a Facebook post they made after the Singapore episode, but besides that all of their channels have been dead. As for popularity, it did decently enough (don't have an exact rating to cite). I read some posts on a chinese forum by fans, and they said it was enjoyable but still had many issues, and the same people had been following ANW and acknowledged that it was much more enjoyable and better produced. The big summer hits for them this yesr are a singing show, and a knockoff of the old show 'The Weakest Link'. At least that what it seems like.

Considering X-Warrior existed in a format that was trying to make a knockoff ANW6 and then got caught and THEN bought the license, I really doubt they're going down the season 2 route when there are so many other shows they can try to ripoff for free
