I haven't seen or followed the second season so I'm not sure what was different this time around. Does anyone know how the ratings were this time around? Ratings were similar, if not slightly down. The show peaked lower, but aside from one episode, stayed solidly in the 3.6-3.9 million viewers range, matching or beating the ratings from last year. The final ratings are unkown, so there is still hope for a high rating final. As for the show itself, not much has changed. Essentially, competitors got more serious, obstacle construction massively improved and the course got a fair bit tougher, but mechanically the show was the same.

That's why the ratings didn't change. Still, a solid core considering. I think if the first episode showed that nothing has changed then it gave people who were looking for a change no reason to stick around. Sadly I find it painfully boring but then again I'm not the target demographic.

We each have our own preferences and shows we like and dislike, but we can all appreciate ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

I totally forgot about the flying bar Yea no one was beating that crap, the obstacle was stupidly built now I remember it But idc, no one was beating the Miska Cliffhanger anyway, let alone the four floating boards, so it didn't happen anyway. There was rumors when we were there that the 20m rope climb had a time limit of 40 seconds but that will probably go down to 30 seconds. Btw forgot to mention all of NW:UK final is taped within a single afternoon, competitors got like a 30 minute break between Stage 1 and 2 and competitors go straight onto Stage 3 once they beat Stage 2 with only a small minute break. It was seen more as Stage 2B rather than a Stage 3. Therefore thats why I assume a fairer rope climb time would be 40 seconds instead of 30/35. Slighty of topic but why Cliffhanger in UK and in sweden is called Miska Cliffhanger here?

Because Miska Sutela designed and tested that cliffhanger for ATS when Ninja Warrior Sweden was being made, NW UK uses a slightly modded version of the Sweden cliffhanger, so that's why they got that nickname here. If you're not familiar with Miska, He's really good at cliffhangers lol

But yeah, Education all around LOL Yea miska tested it next day it was done, me and perry were designing it. I came up with that huge drop between 3rd and 4th ledge, it was Perrys idea to make last edge 30 degrees diagonal, miska and i both thought it looked dumb and it didn't work that well in practise so we named just it after perry haha
