Nah it's just you It's an ANW spin off in every sense of the word. NBC gets money, ATS builds it and they spread ANW worldwide. It's the friggin' Regional's course pared down to whatever country they are in. Sasuke does not benefit at all. In fact it hinders it because you won't get a Sasuke spin off in the UK. Eccholine already staked the territory...

Eccholine already staked the territory... I'm honestly fine with that. I enjoy the version we have now, even though it is FAR from perfect. At its core, I see the same show. Ordinary people going against tough obstacles, many of which are straight from Sasuke. Besides, the ANW final and thus all of the spin offs are very similar to Sasuke in every sense of the word. I really don't see why people despise their final so much, when it is basically Sasuke. Finally, I doubt Sasuke would ever have voluntarily expanded outside Asia, especially now since the show has been on/off the chopping block for about 4 years now. I mean look at Malaysia, Singapore.... They aren't even getting second seasons. In that way I admite ANW from spreading, as it did what I don't think Sasuke would ever want or be able to do, even if it isn't always 100% to our liking.

I vehemently disagree but I'll leave it at that Already took too much of this thread for it and I've already written on the subject many times. When do you guys start up again? Isn't it reaaally soon?

Isn't it reaaally soon? It tapes from August 18th to I think August 27th, which means based on last season we should air before the end of the year.... I dunno about this, they may delay it to have one season per year, or have two in one year, which I believe is too many for anything other than Sasuke, especially since NWUK wasn't exactly the biggest TV show in season one. It still got good ratings, but it was often beaten by other ITV shows like Britain's Got Talent, which is Waaaaay more popular. I honestly think they're taping so fast as to try to synchronise with the other versions worldwide, which all seem to come out from April to July... Or maybe just because Manchester Central is usually jammed with holiday events for the last 4 months of the year, meaning they had to tape quickly.

Its definitely an ANW spinoff as oppose to a Sasuke spinoff, just with the way the course is ran, designed and the references that ANW exists (Kacy) and Japan doesnt. Oh btw the tower is 20m high, we got one of the testers to find out for us

I'm just saying, for someone who comes for the course, with the people as a bonus, I really don't care. I can enjoy any version, be it Sasuke, ANW or anything else, and they are all connected. I just choose to try and focus on the similarities and not the differences. Yes I enjoy Sasuke the most, but I am a fan of all.

The ticket site is currently showing availability for the final , it was 'sold' out (even tho they're free tickets) not long ago. lostintv.com/tv-show?id=657Doors time for the semi's on Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th have altered today to 16:00, closing at 17:00. Final still showing at 12:00 at the moment.

Well, the cutoff date for being told who is on the show for series 2 has now passed, and barring any late changes I didn't get 'the call' - gutted to say the least, much as I'd promised myself I'd do the whole "well at least I got an audition this time".. as the day approached and passed, the inevitable clock watching got worse.
Hopefully in the next week or so we'll find out who's made it onto S2. I've got tickets for both semi's and the final again (barring work cancelling my time off) , so at least I get to see it all again and cheer on everyone who gets through.
Anyone else from the board going in the audience again?

Anyone else from the board going in the audience again? Does Ninja Warrior UK have a Walk On line like ANW does or is it just getting the call is the only way?

Nah no walk on line, there is 50 people per heat with 10 heats, top 10 go through so semis will be 100 people. Then not sure about semis, if I had to guess top 20 go through. Final starts 4 hours earlier this year than last year so I assume they are having more than 12 people run the finals course this year.

Are you sure it's 10 heats? I think it's 5 again, but they've split the recordings for each heat into 2 sessions with a change of audience, I think to combat the overrun/delays they had in Series 1 ,and the associated audience depletion as people left. I know I thought it would be 10 heats when I first saw the tickets dates and times compared to S1 (and subsequentlky hoped it meant more runners = more chance of getting on the course!)

From pictures I've seen on twitter semi final course definitely has windchimes from ANW replacing the chain swing, double swinging ladders are in heats along with another obstacle from heats in ANW6/7 (i can't remember which). Something/Salmon Ladder/UB/Something/Wall Lift and Stage 3 all unchanged. Dancing Stones confirmed gone, arm rings and Spider Climb confirmed for semis and final tower confirmed same (20m Rope Climb 40secs).

I would but twitter on my phone is playing up so I can't seem to copy picture links :S Either way it seems they haven't learnt production wise as the course is still really small and I can already see the dodgy supports in Stage 2 again
