My one concern is this gives TBS an out to end the series even if they meet the ratings threshold. {Spoiler} i could be wrong, but this might be tbs's way of saying goodbye for the final time. i think that they know that they won't reach over 10% ratings, so they probably thought to themselves, "why not go out with a bang?" That's unfortunately how I felt too. I guess we'll have to see. I do feel like showing that in the ad will boost ratings a bit. I do also sadly think it could be a way to out the show for good.

I hope Sasuke doesn't end. I don't want to stick my life with ANW.

This guy still can't lift a wall for his life. This is not a capable or legitimate critique of someone. Yes, he struggles to lift a wall (as in, ONE) as heavy as him and now has to do so soaking wet. Kawaguchi himself took 20 seconds to clear the obstacle last tournament. The most arbitrary and useless nitpick. Not to mention, you point this out for Ryo, yet will go so far as to predict Yusuke, who barely lifted the first two and was going to do the same method of lifting and dropping to the ground on the last one that he did on the 2ND wall. If you're going to have that dumb critique, be consistent with it. Well Yusuke isn't the one who timed up on a 2nd stage wall lift with an absurdly high time limit... Also not to mention the fact that I also didn't doubt the fact of him failing the first stage due to the pressure of having #100 because I could easily see Yuuji and Ryo acting similar with the numbers. While I can't guarantee this will happen, it would be a key factor for sure that impacts his result. Also, Yusuke was only a prediction, I'm not allowed to have a prediction? Not to mention that the post was about Ryo... not Yusuke...

I don't want the show to end this way either but... sadly all shows must come to an end at some point... Also wow my mom actually is rooting on Shingo to win it all. I'm shocked! She's a Nagano fangirl! XD But yeah... It's either Ryo or Yusuke or Yuuji.

The real message I got from the trailer is please watch us we need good ratings to keep this show going. Is Sasuke really on such thin ice that it needs such a huge spolier to keep people tuned in.
Oh well 15+ Years and 31 numbered tournaments having Sasuke go out with a bang as opposed to a wimper is appropriate.

TCM is right if you going todo just a straight rope climb have it be the full 23m and start sitting otherwise don't bother.

Is Sasuke really on such thin ice that it needs such a huge spolier to keep people tuned in. They do this every single time there is a winner. Newer people seem to forget that. They also forget that this is standard practice with Japanese television. I think it's a shock for anyone outside of Japan though.

Not to mention that the post was about Ryo... not Yusuke... Ryo may have been the lone Passing Wall failure in 28, but Yusuke also failed at the Wall Lifting during a tournament where 9 people cleared when he had cleared it the previous tournament with much less time starting time on the clock, so they clearly each had their moments of despair on the wall. That was my point; you're welcome to predict Yusuke the winner, it would be awesome if he does (like Rider, I think it's someone who wouldn't be someone's first choice but still is completely capable of it) but if you're going to have a dumb critique for Ryo such as "he can't life a wall," then don't choose the person who did poorly on it himself, because he can be subject to the same critique. Sasuke is on thin ice and has been for a number of tournaments, but revealing the winner before/during the opening of the tournament is not a product of that. This happened for 17 as well, as I said, the original broadcast featured Nagano's win (without mentioning Nagano specifically) 15 seconds into the broadcast. Will it entice viewers, hopefully, but that's basic strategy in terms of marketing for the show. Hint towards final stage attempts, reveal wins. Not liking that it was revealed is one thing, treating it as something that's scandalous is ridiculous.

Ryo looked pretty good in SASUKE 30, so if he can do the same in Sasuke 31, I think he can win

{Spoiler}Darvish had 4 seconds to get to the button by the time he was on top.
Almost look like he may time out or pass.

It says 4th grand champion is crowned and then cuts to the room losing their nuts lol Note the crowd is actually all sat behind the final Stage this time like in ANW - should be a cool shot to see on tv. What row you on Arsenette lol? Since I know a bit of Kanji it says that it's been 4 years since a kanzenseiha, not a 4th grand champion. Thanks It was fourth year. I lost it in the sea of messages.

Oh man, this is going to be great. I think that there is a large group capable of completing, but I would personally love to see it be Drew. Just love his skill and his overall attitude!

Still would like Drew to win, just to stick it to NBC.

My intuition says Ryo while my heart wants Kanno to beat the Crazy Cliffhanger curse and go to Stage 4.

I'm a bit upset that they spoiled it, but I'm really just mad at myself for not having the willpower to not read this thread. However, I really hope this will help them get the ratings they're aiming for. Have they teased any of the previous victories in ads? If so, did it help boost ratings for those particular broadcasts?

Imagine if it was Kenji Takahashi!
OK, it's probably not. But let me dream! ;(

Have they teased any of the previous victories in ads? Yes, every time, which is why I don't get why some people are overreacting

1) So for the people who didn't like being spoiled, what would you have done?
2) When I hint to people around me who are either just casual fans or sporadic watchers of the show that someone might finish, their interest level goes up. The majority of the people on this forum are not casual fans.
