That ship is a pretty good backdrop, I'm assuming they wouldn't have room on the ship to put the course on?
It's a battleship, not an aircraft carrier... And even if it was do you really want the course built on something that's at the mercy of the water it's on top of? Imagine a balance obstacle and then a smallish wave hits and the ship rocks (Just because it's at port wouldn't mean it's stationary).

I was there for the last two nights of filming and all I can say is this was epic. The crowd was awesome and the Military Ninja's were so humble and very talented. The course was also a beast. This will be great to watch on TV when it airs they say supposed to be June 29th due to it being the 4th of the July week. The ship in the back ground lit up at night is going to look great on air.
