Paul Kasemir didn't get a call? Or is he in a different region this time? You'd think him of all people would get a call back. I think they are still making calls, but I'm still not 100% on Paul making it. He didn't get the greatest treatment last time by the editors, and there was a controversy last year. Don't know if it made it any further than the forums, though.

I want to say it was on the devil steps, his foot hit the water, but they allowed him to finish the course anyway. . .

Heh if that's a problem then Arnold shouldn't be back for handhover™ or the globe grasp skip.. or.. Let's just say that ANW has a list of controversial competitors who were or were not passed according to the rules they decided that second. Paul is the least of their worries.

This break in the calls is not very easy on the nerves.

If he was apart of Team USA for BOTH US against Japan and US against the world he at least should have some recognition.

Paul Kasemir has been called. You can all breathe a sigh of relief now. Good... I honestly think he's the most deserving to win ANW first.

I honestly agree about the rope climb being to slow for a lot of guys. From what I have seen I think theres a handful of people capable of clearing the third stage but I doubt most of them could climb a rope at a fast pace.

I feel like some people should be blazingly fast at the rope climb. Though this was back when I was in shape, I was able to fly up shorts amount of rope like nothing. All it takes is the proper technique and you won't wear your arms out at all. I imagine on those longer climbs endurance certainly becomes more of an issue, but with the right use of your feet it still should be pretty easily doable for the upper echelon of ANW competitors.
