Any word on Brian Orosco? I'm surprised to not see him in the called list. Is he not in Venice anymore, or is there just no information on him yet? Still in Venice I believe but I think it might be over for Frosti/Brian/Paul Darnell/Jesse La Flair & other tempest people. They had a solid run at competing tho.

Also disappointed about David Money and Dorian Cedars not getting the call, and quite surprised Grandpa Ninja didn't. The biggest surprise on the confirmed list, for me, was Rob Moravsky. I like the guy, but didn't really think he would come back this year. Orosco might have been canned seeing as he's failed qualifying 3 years in a row. Rob's just there for eye candy.

He's the brother of the guy who got the furthest, and one of the most popular and interesting competitors at the moment. Even though he's not the strongest competitor, he looks like an Adonis. I'm not surprised why NBC would like him.

I'm not surprised why NBC would like him. I should clarify that I'm not surprised that NBC picked Rob to return. My surprise was that he'd want to return at all, as I always got the impression that he decided to go for it in 6 on a whim. People who do things on whims don't tend to do it again a year later, though, so I must have been wrong. As for the Brian Orosco question, I can definitely see that. It's a bit of a shame, but at the same time, he didn't really seem to be enjoying himself as much in ANW6. In fact, I got the impression he was there because he felt he had to be, rather than something he wanted to do. ANW should be something people enjoy doing, and when they get to the point where they are doing because they feel they have to, rather than wanting to, I think it's best for them to step back, maybe cheer on future competitors.

I always felt like Orosco was making phoned in appearances for a long time. Even early on when he realized he could do anything and get picked, he stopped making serious entry videos. Not that all videos need to be super serious or anything - but it felt like he certainly lacked a drive to actually complete the course like he once had. It just turned into a fun event he could do with friends once a year. Though I imagine that's the case for a lot of people.

I heard that Chris Wilczewski will be competing in Venice this year. Not sure if a totally credible source however.

The building crew has arrived, per sources. I have also heard a report that the Drum Hopper will be one of the obstacles. I imagine it will be ninth.

I have a quick question as someone who is wanting to go. On the website where you can get tickets. The tickets are already available for Houston, but aren't available for Venice. Am I using the wrong site? Or have they already been sold? Also if the answer is no they are not on sale and I'm not using the wrong site, then when should the tickets be on sale?

It says join waitlist, chances are they've already come and gone, maybe someone here who is competing might help by letting them let you be in their friends and family invite by saying they're friends? You pretty much just need to know their name and number (and even number you don't really need to know, at least not in Baltimore for season 5)

You pretty much just need to know their name and number (and even number you don't really need to know, at least not in Baltimore for season 5) When the ticket thing first showed up it was already at join wait list (which was about 2-3 months ago) so I guessed that meant that it would inform you about it later which my dad did and he hasn't gotten anything about it. Also I checked it almost everyday and it would always just say join waitlist never buy tickets. Also some of the Houston ones say submit info, which I guessed was for something else. I'm just confused hopefully there was just a mistake. *fingers crossed*
