Ya'll ready for Blizzard? My forecast changed 6 times in 24 hours. So anywhere from 6 inches to 14 depending on where that line is. Ya'll up north are going to be buried. Everyone ready?

meanwhile in Texas it's 70 degrees... Also be careful what you wish for on snow. O.O Best of luck staying safe inside! There's supposedly ANOTHER winter storm that'll hit the exact same area... don't get socked!

I've got to say, working on set in these conditions has been pretty brutal. Gives me a lot of newfound respect for my crew members who work in these conditions every day just to make enough money to survive--I hope you guys appreciate the hard work of the ANW crew as well! Yesterday on Person of Interest I showed up on set at 12:30pm and it was sub-zero temperatures with the windchill. It was an all-exterior shooting day. We camera wrapped at almost 4am and I didn't get to go home until about 5am. All for one day's salary.
I was actually going to write this last night / this morning when I got home, but my fingers were still thawing out.

Growing up I had a lot of family and friends in military, construction and otherwise outside manual labor. I can understand and appreciate the work they do outside. I feel bad when it's cold, damp and well.. brutal.

I wish we even got 14 inches in a winter here, but nope, too warm and loo low elevation to have snow (Average daytime temp: 12°C, elevation, 113.8 Metres)

I won't even try to run outside in this cold. I'm not even going to walk to the gym. Boxing myself in here and working on film stuff.

My problem is the temperature here keeps floating at like 30 degrees. If It was just SLIGHTLY warmer we'd avoid all of the snow.
I'm not complaining too much because we've been pretty fortunate compared to most places. But man I hate the snow. Thank god I only have to endure 1 more winter before I move to somewhere warm year round...

Hey I'd settle for the same thing.. something ABOVE freezing. Wind chill though suuuuuuuuuucks. We've also been lucky not to be slammed (like Boston) with all the snow. We only got a few inches but the bitter cold is doing wonders to my heating bill. LOL

I just recently had my first bout of snow and ice. Kept me inside for a day before it was melted off enough for me to escape my house. Unfortunately round 2 is coming for me. Will never be as bad as Boston but Texas sure isn't used to ice and snow that's for sure!

So.. expecting (again) 5-8 inches today. Given this season.. I'll believe it when I see it. LOL

At least you get snow, unlike here, where the average temperature in July is around 11°C, which is freezing compared to most of Australia...

Heh you're young. I've seen a foot of snow on the ground in April. Anywho we got 8 inches? Snow drifts make it difficult to measure. The wind was wicked yesterday.
