Inui sometimes goes out with some of the competitors, especially the Shin-Sedai ones. Anyway, according to an Inui tweet, the course alterations will be: Moderate for the 1st Stage Minor for the 2nd Stage No change to the 3rd Stage Thanks! So that means none of the 3rd stage obstacles from the Nico Nico broadcast passed. LOL Curious when/if they will announce the winner (if any). He's a member of the new Shin Sedai and has been the most consistent competitor along with Kanno. I think he's set in terms of his place in the competition. Agreed. Besides, it's already been posted that he's been there before and even Yuuji, Ryo and company have been going to Tokyo's auditions. This is not new.

*fingers crossed that "minor alterations for stage 2" involves tweaking/scrapping the SSL* I've grown to accept, if not enjoy, the Backstream, but the SSL's flat-out defective, which wouldn't be as much of an issue if they didn't have that "misalignment=DQed" rule. I know they've had that rule since the SSL started, but 30 is the first time I can remember a competitor (Kenji Takahashi) failing because of that rule, despite doing everything right, because the obstacle malfunctioned.

I can confirm the SSL is scrapped but the Backstream is there to stay.

I can confirm the SSL is scrapped but the Backstream is there to stay. Eh. I'm actually all right with that. I disliked the Backstream starting out, and still do, but they seem to have figured out how to make it work, unlike the SSL.

so a while back , I "Liked" SASUKE on facebook, and they send me updates, sometimes. yesterday, this scrolled through my feed..... www.facebook.com/sasuke.tbs/photos/a.185707564907127.57959.177570179054199/653169911494221/?type=1na that's Yamada katsumi (Mr SASUKE), and something about SASUKE 2015,. my reading skills for Japanese are minimal at best ( I don't see "Save", "Press x to exit area" or "Upgrade skills", those are the words and phrases I'm most familiar with) and I don't trust Facebook's auto translate. can someone tell me what this says? I thought Mr SASUKE was gone forever, never to be seen again...I'm confused.

Do you think theres a chance he will be competing in the future? He still trains so there shouldnt be a reason to not compete.

Actually, Yamada was not planning to compete again, anyway. He was content to retire after Sasuke 28. That's why he didn't compete in Sasuke 29. Shortly before Sasuke 30, several of his fans/Facebook friends (myself included) urged him to return for the anniversary tournament. He agreed but (I'm paraphrasing here) he basically told us "OK, I'll compete in this tournament, but I'm not going to compete anymore after this. I've been doing this for 18 years. It's been fun, but I'm ready to step aside now." Even if Inui hadn't kicked him out, he probably would not be competing in Sasuke 31.

I don't know if the mods would be OK with me giving information on his run but I do know what happened. I think it's fair to say that he failed the First Stage.
EDIT: We have previously established that he wore #2934 which was blocked out on the competitor page list. A proper Chris Benoit treatment, if you will.

Something big happened during or after Sasuke 30 to piss off TBS so much that they cut him from the broadcast. He's the only one to blame for that unfortunately. He's not exactly easy to deal with and has often been a royal pain to the production staff and his fellow competitors. Only the fans who don't see this behavior continue to cheer him on. Everyone else is happy to see him not return and actively cheered that he was cut from 30. It's still up in the air what TBS is going to do with the Tigers given that the only reason why they were allowed to be there without going through trials (in the past) was because of him. We at least know that they were allowed to go through Auditions recently including this one. Not everyone gets a call back for auditions.
