Apparently there's another one going on in Turkey, seems to be the same setup as in Sweden Finally got a link to the production for this event. (Thanks Ralf) Link to the official Ninja Warrior TurkeyFor those who might be confused (don't worry, I was as well), this is part of the series from the old Ninja Warrior Europe. For those who are confused over the course and why it looks like ANW and not Sasuke, that's on purpose. It IS a spin off from ANW and not Sasuke. ATS is the course designer for this, Sweden and others that are planned in the future. So as a result I'm moving this thread (and Sweden's) to the General ANW thread. Feel free to post photos, videos and whatnot on each of the threads. If another pops up and I don't see it please feel free to post it on your own. Share the love!

I caught a livestream of it earlier today. The fact that it's a spin-off of ANW explains why the show looked so ANW-esque, i.e., filmed during the evening, lots of lights, modern-looking aesthetics, two announcers commentating from an elevated platform, etc. So do you know if Ninja Warrior Sweden and Ninja Warrior Turkey are like regional qualifiers for a bigger Ninja Warrior event?

The main course is moving really slow (meaning the introductions of the countries). I honestly don't see it happening for another few years if at all. Turkey has a Loooooooooot of problems that were not present during Sweden's production. The production crew here did a lot of things for the sake of television that would never be tolerated anywhere else. So much stuff going on in the background it's obscene. That said, the production is apparently scheduled to go week to week because they want 50+ episodes. Whether or not they get there I don't know. This particular production is in shambles thanks to the Turkish organizers.

Care to elaborate what's going on with that? I didn't hear much about this, I didn't even know it was happening until after it was over. Also evidently it's already aired and they have put some of the runs online www.acunn.com/program/ninja-warrior-turkiye

Turkey is not over. They are only over for one week. They go back again in a week's time. There's little I can say publicly though, but the synopsis of the overt problems are having everyone practice each individual obstacle until they clear it, multiple reruns so they have clears to show, ignoring competitor injuries, that sort of thing. It's a mess.
