According to Scott from his reddit AMA, he said he was "boring" half-jokingly, which probably meant they didn't find an interesting enough story to go with. Yeah, saw that and was a little bothered. Still think they could have managed to trim at least one of the many Kacy promos per episode to show his runs. Or even Isaac Caldiero's run that was digested. Too many good runners got cut this year.

I was really pissed off that all of the wildcards in the finals went to women who had NO chance of getting through stage 1 ! Drew Dreshel definitely deserved a wildcard, maybe Flip as well I know they want the show to be more universally appealing, but still pees me off Why not have a separate show for women ? I do not know if this was addressed but I'll just give you my opinions straight forward. Wildcards should not be used on participant who haven't earned a spot at finals but have the potential to defeat the course. If a Wildcard won the $500,000 it would be unfair to the competitors who actually competed and earned their way to ANW Finals. So no Flip (even though I think he has no chance) and no Drew for sure. If Brian Arnold fails qualifying next year and gets a Wildcard spot, I'd be irate to say the least.

I think the training and dedication that women put into ANW should be rewarded. Maybe instead of the wildcard system, they should have the top 5 women who made it the furthest in qualifying go (although I'm sure they employ a similar tactic in picking anyways)
I think NBC is making the right move here. Women should be allowed to participate in the finals, and hopefully this will mean more women can see and identify with the female athletes at the final course, otherwise the entire finals episodes will consist of all men, making it abit one sided.
