I wanted to post this thread for those who wanted to speculate on the results of the event that airs next week. THIS IS NOT A SPOILER THREAD. This is just for ya'll who wanted to have fun and think about who could possibly win next week. If at all possible, wait to discuss individual people until they are formally announced tonight. Please remember that Team USA's composition won't be aired until the end of tonight's Finals episode in ANW on NBC. For those who read articles with the composition of the USA team, please don't post that until the end of the Finals tonight. I'm trying to help those who aren't reading any articles or going into spoiler threads from being spoiled. Just discuss what has been officially aired. Speculate away and have fun! THANKS!

I'm gonna be upset if it turns out Japan or Europe won but they found out a way to make it so America won in the broadcast.

With the finals over can we talk about the individuals that make up the teams without spoiler tags?

With the finals over can we talk about the individuals that make up the teams without spoiler tags? At this particular point the only spoilers would be the results. Am I correct? Did they name all of them now? It should be open season to speculate on how each individual would do (without spoiler tags). Only results are spoilers and they are NOT permitted on this thread. Because I can.. NBC Behind the scenes slideshow.

So the members of European team are all new faces and never been in ANW competition before? Possibly competed in Sasuke?
And the Japanese members are Kanno, Asa, Yamamoto, Matachi, and ?.
American team is going to be Joe Morasky, Elet Hall, Chris Wilczewski, Travis Rosen, and Paul Kasemir? Or Brian Arnold is included?

American team is going to be Joe Morasky, Elet Hall, Chris Wilczewski, Travis Rosen, and Paul Kasemir? Or Brian Arnold is included? Ah I didn't realize they didn't announce it in the broadcast. I just fast forwarded it and they only used stock footage from USA vs. Japan and announced the show as a thing but offered no expansion on it. The composition of the Euro team is/was the problem with this special. I doubt they will go into the problems with it but it was a major beef with the competitors and those in the audience who knew who they were. A couple were ANW competitors running for other countries. One is a Sasuke fan that rose to fame online. Two were hired to be there who had zero knowledge of the show. Only 2 of the competitors are actually from the countries they represent. The rest were jerryrigged into place because at the last second they decided it was a "Euro" team (it was supposed to be a general "world" team). Looooooong back story on that but that's part of the spoilers section. The composition of the teams were announced way back when they announced the date by NBC in a worldwide presser. USA: Brian Arnold, Elet Hall, Paul Kasemir, Joe Moravsky and Travis Rosen. Japan: Kazuma Asa, Hitoshi Kanno, Ryo Matachi, Shingo Yamamoto and Yusuke Morimoto. "Europe": Stefano Ghisolfi, Vadym Kuvakin, Sean McColl, Tim Sheiff and Miska Sutela

"Europe": Stefano Ghisolfi, Vadym Kuvakin, Sean McColl, Tim Sheiff and Miska Sutela Thanks for the link of the announcement by NBC. I think that I've glanced it before, but didn't want to know the details before the show, so didn't read it through. As for the American team, I thought that Chris was in good condition and that he earned a spot for this year's team. Also thanks for the back story of Euro team. We saw Kuvakin in ANW6, another guy from CDS Las Vegas like Remi Bakkar, but unlike Remi, Kuvakin didn't quit his job at Vegas for ANW, which was, of course, a good decision for him. Very pleased to see Tim "Livewire" Sheiff back in ANW. It is always a treat to see a top freerunner in the competition. The other three competitors I'm not sure I know, probably not. Finally team Japan, Yuji is out and Sasuke-kun is in. Tough break for Yuji, but he wasn't seemed to be in good condition, didn't look sharp as far as I remember. In any case, Morimoto is a good choice, then one senior veteran, either Shingo or Yuji has to be included as a team leader (Kong is also a senior competitor but not a team leader type), so Urushihara was excluded it seems.

I think the big question for me, I can understand top 4 from 29, I'm assuming Shingo is there to kinda keep the group together as a leader, is that what I'm getting? If so good for you Yamamoto-san!
