Yeah , wow! There are a lot to talk about this show. Let me just point out two epic moments at the specific obstacles. The first one is Travis Rosen at DSL. Only three ascending actions he took to clear the obstacle. I can't even count how many rungs Travis skipped. Wow. The second one is Sean McColl at Metal Spin. The way he leaped from the chain to the bridge was epic. Just spectacular performances from Travis and Sean. Wonderful.

Also I find Shingo's fluffpiece before his only run... VERY emotional to me. Maybe it's just because I love Shingo but it may also be because I share the same feelings as he does for not just seeing every SASUKE but also his emotions towards USA vs Japan about not baring to see it. I'm right with him...

After re watching the show I realize the timer on ryo's 3rd stage was skipping a lot of time. I count it in my head when they were showing close up of other competitors. It seems to me Ryo was taking quite some time resting between obstacles. Did NBC purposely let Brain Arnold win the heat ? Sorry for not expressing myself more clearly. I am not a native English speaker.

If anyone is interested, I saw this video a few weeks ago of Sean McColl and Isaac Caldiero facing head to head in a climbing competition. I figured others might enjoy it.
Here is the finals of the same competition, featuring American National Champion Daniel Woods.

Ok I just finished watching this program again and there were so many things I missed that were incredible. I did not see how Stefano and Sean "KONGU'ed" the damn UCH. And I missed half of Ryo's run the first time so I didn't see how on UCH he BEASTS through that third and fourth transition. Overall despite the problems this show has, this season as whole has been so good to watch I hope this keeps getting bigger and bigger.

He's spoken in English plenty of times before and he doesn't sound that way. I found it annoying and honestly.. racist. They did it also with the Italian voice as well. It wasn't that it was dubbed.. it was that it had a heavy accent as if to show lack of education on the part of the person. I was infuriated because it was so unnecessary. They only did that because it's been well known that they never translate correctly, now there's no actual evidence in the native language to compare it to so they can say wtf they wanted and we'd never know the wiser. Given the rest of the atrocities with the results I don't believe a single word that came out of that broken English voice in either Japanese or Italian translations.

Imagine if this was the "inverted hang climb" portion of Stage 3 in 2050?

Look the bottom line regardless of the behind the scenes shennanigans is that this was a great way to finish the season for the casual viewers. It will definitely leave them looking forward to next season.
And i think we have in Tim Sheriff and Sean McColl, two genuine contenders next year.

They tried everything to Make team USA win it but us euros crashed the party!! Glorious!! Nagano needs to lead team Japan he can take them to victory...Well if NBC do not try to fix results.
As cool as the Stage 3 clears were they mean nothing to me unless it is in the actual tournament! It prove though it CAN be done.

I am not a native English speaker. Me neither (native English speaker). To modify the timer will be very simple. But all contestants took longer breaks between FB and UCH; UCH and PB and so on, what was skipped too. Referring to Brian Arnold and Ryo Matachi, they were head to head up to the HC. From the HC to the end of the Spider Flip, Ryo lost about 35 seconds. And his break before starting the Jumping Bars was a bit longer than Arnold's. That is the way I saw it on the Video. If true or not, I don't know.

A mutual friend of ours, Cathi, got to spend a couple weeks in Japan. While she was there, she got to have dinner with Shingo. Another friend, Carol, helped with translating. They made this video for the fans. Cathi and Carol helped him with it. Shingo

But hey he still shared the same feelings as I did during USA vs Japan which that can't change.

If it's true NBC fixed the results of stage 3 to make it go to the fourth stage than what they did was illegal and must be held accountable. Its one thing to edit out of order to make it seem something happened first but it's another to change the results of a game. So if NBC did do that expose them again I have no personal reason to defend them but you need proof and if the athletes know that this game fixing is widespread they need to voice their concerns openly. Have you read the 30 page NDA? It's not illegal since it's a made for TV event where everyone was paid to show up and they have the right to edit their own show to their choosing. It's there in black and white. The specific wording that this is NOT a sporting event is crucial in court. They broke no laws. They did this three times already. Last year in ANW vs. Japan and a few years ago with Brent in the 2nd stage. You're wrong on that part, there are specific laws that prevent game shows and other similar type shows to doctor the results.

If the results of stage 3 were fixed to to go to a tie breaker I am glad that team Europe won regardless which gives me hope that show fixing the results is a very rare occurrence. Of course one time is one to many but hopefully the show doesn't do it again the people who go on the show deserve better.
I hope next year Team Japan brings back Yuuji Urushihara he didn't do good last year and his recent performances in Sasuke is lacking but he still one of three people to beat the course and only one to do it twice.
Also I read somewhere that Aresenette has a blog were she recaps Saskue events and specials I would be interested in reading it if someone knows were it is.

You are late to the party as this is old news. Have a seat, I'll pass some popcorn. ETA: (apparently I wrote it at the same time) vaughn1230 my blog is listed on my sign line. Thanks for the support

I thought the biggest pile of garbage spewed by the racist dubbed "Japanese" voice was the claim that they were specifically training for American Ninja Warrior. Who would be gullible enough to believe that crap?

Go figure out of the Japanese dubs that mentioned training for ANW Shingo didn't say that (or his dub). He was more concerned with their attitudes which are pretty spot on being in a funeral.
