Monday, September 15, 2014 - NBC Network8:00 PM - S06, E15 - American Ninja Warrior: USA vs. the World Description: Five American competitors battle players from Japan and Europe in an international competition. PLEASE NOTE START TIME! This is a 3 hour event.Going to be using TV Guide and winging it to get the correct dates. This is 2nd year that ANW hosts a special featuring the top 5 USA qualifiers from ANW6, 5 competitors from Japan and 5 competitors they said were European (we can discuss that later). Please note: This is not a speculation thread, please only discuss this episode only. (I will create a speculation thread) I am posting this episode discussion now because the preview for next week's episode airs tonight at the end of ANW6's finals. ONLY Discuss the preview here (meaning the separate information that only pertains to the preview of this episode and not ANW6's Final). No spoilers will be tolerated. Many people bypassed all spoilers to wait for the NBC broadcast. Don't be an a** and spoil it for them. Thanks. REMINDER: There are people who did not read the respective spoiler threads from when the competition was taped.. please do not include information from that thread here. Stick to the episode shown. Last reminders of course that all of this thread is a spoiler thread for what is shown on official broadcasts.

NBC had a commercial for this during halftime of the Liverpool/Aston Villa match, and there were some stage 3 spoilers in it.
So anyone who wants to remain unspoiled should probably avoid NBC.

So a different commercial than the one I linked? Edit: Yes.. yes it is.. and it is a MASSIVE Spoiler (2nd stage footage - full run with Matt Iseman saying Team Results). ( Link to video in this article) Edit: TBS International posted photos.

hmm, just a few small mini-spoilers, but technically, the third team could change it, couldn't they?
Also, seeing as multiple people are running each stage, maybe the scoring is different?

Spoiler discussion I'm deferring to when the episode airs. Was just mentioning because some of the newer articles have massive spoilers like that. As for scoring, it's identical to last year's just a 3 way rather than 2 way.

There are 5 in each team and they each run 1 person against another person until the points are amassed to win the stage. NBC reeked havoc with the order and what they showed on NBC so it's not surprising people are confused about last year. Last year it took only 3-4 people to determine the winner of the round. (meaning they didn't need the 5th to determine the winner of each stage). This time it's a 3 way so all 5 ran since 3 countries were going head to head to win that stage. Same scoring though from last year. That's all I'll discuss though as we can get into spoiler territory very very quickly. Just 24 hours to go.

They ran matchups last year, full stage runs from each team 1v1 until the stage had a winner, I assume this year is the same just 1v1v1

HATE NBC dubbing the voices, they didn't do it last time so what's the reason for doing it now? Do they really think their American audience is too dumb to read subtitles? I mean, that's what fans of the original Ninja Warrior show did...

Honestly I can imagine the dubbed voices being correct to their original voices if they spoke english. I have no complaints. But Rope Jungle's first victim... poor Ryo... We need REDEMPTION not DE JA VU!
