Sasuke 22 AIM Chat:
Ok, like the past few tournaments, I will be organizing the AIM chat. However, unlike Sasuke 21 where everyone was on livestation, this time people will be split between keyholetv and tvants. Tvants has been known to be unreliable so I will need you guys help on this to make Sasuke 22 go smoothly.
If both programs work:
If both tvants and keyholetv are working fine, then we will need to split up the people based on what program they are using. The 2 minute time difference between the programs would not be good, and would open up the possibility for spoilers and for people to be spoiled. I want Sasuke 22 to be as enjoyable as possible, so I will split up the group if need be.
If only a few people are using keyholetv, while the rest are using tvants, I will combine everyone into one chat room. I will then ask the keyholetv viewers to hold back on posting to allow the others to catch up (this can also be applied to people whose tvants are running slighty faster than others). Anybody, that posts spoilers before the others have seen it will get booted from the chat. This is only because I want everybody to enjoy Sasuke 22 without getting spoiled.
If no one is using keyholetv (and tvants works for everyone), then we will all be in one chatroom. I will just ask people before the show to tell me what they are seeing, so I can get a sense of everyone's connection.
If tvants doesn't work at all:
We will all try keyholetv, or use another method listed below.
If keyholetv doesn't work at all:
Not likely, but definitely a worst-case scenario. Keyholetv has been reliable since it was found in the Sasuke 20 days. Most likely it will work. If it doesn't, we will have to try our luck with tvants one way or another.
Preparation, this is where I need your help:
-First, Make sure to download both tvants and keyholetv. Even if you fully plan on using tvants and have had no problems with it, download keyholetv as a backup. This will save a lot of stress in the event tvants does not work.
-Second, on the day of the competition, make sure you get there early. The broadcast starts at 19:50 JST (what time that is in your area can be found if you look in the calendar and click on the event) and I need you guys to get their early in order for this to work. I ask that you please log on to AIM, no later than 30 minutes before the start of the preview. This is so I can get everyone in the right chat room and you can make sure tvants is working for you. If not, then we'll have to adjust accordingly. This is extremely important. I will wake up and be on AIM about an hour before the competition starts. If you can get there around that time, that would be great. I know it will be early, but I can't have everyone come in at the last minute like they did for Sasuke 21.
-Third, the first test on how well this works will be at the Sasuke 22 Navi chat. The times for that (found on the calendar) are a little easier to handle for US viewers (it will be Saturday night into Sunday morning). Based on how well this goes, I will see what adjustments need to be made for the Sasuke 22 broadcast.
-Fourth, AIM chats have a limit of 20 people per chatroom. Because of this, I am anticipating that there will be two chat rooms at least (there were 30 people for Sasuke 21). This is if most people are using one program to watch Sasuke. If there is a fairly even split, there wont be a problem. It would be helpful to me if those interested in the chat would respond to this thread with their AIM name and which program they plan on using to watch Sasuke 22. This will help me greatly. If we can get a solid list of people, then anyone (not just me) can add these people when they log in. This will help me as well because I missed the first few minutes of Sasuke 21 adding people to the chat and helping people record. All I want is for this to run smoothly and with little problem.
