Oh well with Kacy gone hopefully we can discuss other things and also while Elet Hall had a great time he did not have a faster time in stage 1 then James and Brent did last year although seeing 46 secondes left on the clock reminded me of David's run in Sauske 27 and shows just how fast things can be done.
Also the spoiler thread for Vegas said 19 completed stage 1 but in realty only 18 did the information on this site is very inaccurate.

Were all ninjas shown one way or another in Stage 1? A full run or fast forward.

With Kacy gone we may be able to talk about something else.

FYI Seems the forum is experiencing issues, if you get an error when posting check to make sure, it probably did post (avoid double posts)

I feel sorry for people like Kenneth Niemitalo, Joseph Rosello, Sean Morris, Jonathan Sharp Brown and Jeremy Morgan. Oh, and Daniel Larson-Fine might have been the second best rookie this year and got triple digested.

Yea, I'm not sure what Brian was thinking. I imagine most people would rather go later on in stage 2. He would have looked foolish it he messed that up. I thought it was a smart move by Brian. Running the 2nd Stage sooner means that you'll have more time to rest for the 3rd stage.

Sorry guys for the double posts I think the very least Nbc could do is show all the runs ff or in full and not cut them entirely and Paul Kasimer gets digest again for a top competitor he sure is getting little air time.

What did Brian do? Missed the broadcast. He had like 15-20 seconds on getting to the top of the Final Climb, celebrated a bit, went over to the button, waited for it to count down and hit it with about 3 seconds left despite being up there so long

I am glad to see the wolf pack doing so well, I have high hopes for that group. Does anybody know what happened with Geoff Britten and Evan Dollard? I didn't notice either one of them on stage 1.
Personally, I would like to see the landing platform for the silk slider be like 6 feet off the ground, giving athletes a chance to catch themselves if their momentum carries them too far. Other than that, I was pretty pleased with stage 1 this year.

David Campbell; Failed Silk Slider (!) 18. Chris Wilczewski; Cleared Stage One, 22.26 seconds remaining 19. Daniel Larson-Fine; Failed Spinning Bridge (digest) 20. Joshua Cook; Cleared Stage One, 23.71 seconds remaining (digest)(WHY?!) 21. Rob Moravsky; Failed Jumping Spider 22. Elet Hall; Cleared Stage One, 46.60 seconds remaining (HOLY HELL!) 23. ANW GODDESS!!!!!Kacy Catanzaro; Failed Jumping Spider And now, further thoughts on my part. For reference's sake, the exclamation marks are results that shocked me, and the WHY?!'s are digests that I thought didn't deserve to be digested.
First off, major props to nehcney. You looked like a freaking beast on that Jumping Spider!
Also on the positive, it was pretty cool to see Elet Hall get the top time. He didn't seem to rush. He just didn't waste any movements and moved naturally.
On the negative, I cannot BELIEVE that Matt Iseman referred to Kacy Catanzaro as a national hero. Maybe it's just an overblown reaction on my part, but to me, she is inspirational, sure, but a national hero? That is way too much, in my opinion.
Also, there is no excuse for digesting clears. None. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Non. Niet.

Y'know, I think the thing that really grinds my gears more than anything is that in a four hour timespan, NBC couldn't even get everyone in. Seriously? It's not something that's difficult guys! By comparison, Sasuke manages to get ~60 competitors in their 1:30 hourish timespan for stage 1. In addition, it's frustrating that NBC sacrifices the runs of other competitors for the sake of fluff pieces. The fluff pieces are nice, but the former should have priority. Also I don't want to take anything away from Kacy. I think it's amazing that she recognizes she's an inspiration to people, and chooses to further inspire and motivate others, however in terms of the season, I'd say Meagan is the one who set the precedent for women, not Kacy. I get Kacy was the first women to clear a city finals course, but it's still a qualifier. Meagan made it the farthest on the actual course, and it's kind of a slap in the face to us viewers to have Kacy shoved down our throats ALL season just for her to go out on the Jumping Spider. It didn't even surprise me that's where she failed, it's just that with all the hype it's such a letdown. And lastly, (so I don't end on such a negative note ) congrats Yen! You had a great run, and I hope you kick butt in stage 2!

Some interesting things this year no one from Vince regional made it to stage two that is a shocker with some of the talent and a lot of them seem to have gone out on the silk slider.
David Campbell three years in a row now on stage 1 all I can say is wow.
Casey here feet where great she pulled a van dam with her legs but her arms where way to short she just needs to get deeper on the launch and she can clear the spider jump imo.
Forgot way to go Chen on stage one
