Yasuo Aoki and Motohide Oya are the only two people to fail the same obstacle in 4 consecutive tournaments. Daisuke Nakata has come close to being a part of that, he failed the Lamp Grasper 3 straight times I believe from Sasuke 10 to Sasuke 12. Almost right: SASUKE 9 to SASUKE 11. Him, Kanno, and Asa are the only 3 to fail a non-First Stage obstacle 3 consecutive times. Going back to yamfriend's clear streak comment, I love how Ken Hasegawa's Second Stage clear streak is considered "active".

There's been... I believe 5 versions of the spider walk (SASUKE 1-4, SASUKE 5-6, SASUKE 7-17, SASUKE 28-29 (I'm separating the SASUKE 30 one since the drop was new) and SASUKE 30) and ALL of these versions only one competitor has seen and tried and completed them all, Shingo Yamamoto again. He's also the first to try the pipe slider in SASUKE 2 albeit he lost his grip at the end.

Makoto Nagano holds the record for most obstacles being the first to clear: Rumbling Dice, Lamp Grasper, Altered Cliffhanger, Tsuna Nobori (10m), Salmon Ladder, Stick Slider, Net Bridge, Shoulder Walk, Curtain Swing, Hang Climbing, and Spider Flip.

Kongu has attempted every version of the Cliffhanger except the Sasuke 4 version.

Akiyama hasn't gotten passed the HPA yet. Also how many Yamamoto's have EVER competed in SASUKE?! I think that last name is most well known seen in SASUKE...

Just figured a new one out, All of the All-Stars have been injured before in a tournament. Kazuhiko Akiyama has his vision problems(that should count as an injury as it makes him not able to compete as better as he should). Makoto Nagano injured his leg in Sasuke 29 on the Long Jump. Toshihiro Takeda injured his right shoulder in Sasuke 12 causing him to fail the Cliffhanger in sasuke 13, 14, and 16. Shingo Yamamoto dislocated his shoulder in sasuke 7, 9, and 23. Bunpei Shiratori has had back problems for years and was the reason he missed most of the Shin Sasuke tournaments. Katsumi Yamada injured his right leg in sasuke 21, but still made it far into the course failing the Warped Wall. You can hardly count Akiyama and Bunpei in this

You can hardly count Akiyama and Bunpei in this You could argue that Bunpei's fall on the Downhill Jump in 21 exacerbated his back injuries, which would be a tournament related injury. That said, I agree that including Akiyama for something not even health-related is stretching it by a good chunk.

I wouldn't even count it, the injury was prior to stepping on the starting line, the downhill jump didn't cause it. And trying to list Akiyama as injured by the course because of an eye condition he had long before Sasuke existed is almost on the list of stupidest things said on this forum, but still not close to G4 cursing kanzenseiha or suggesting the ANW Rumbling Dice having drops in the track

Was Ishikawa's 2nd stage omission the only ever in 2nd stage history?

Was Ishikawa's 2nd stage omission the only ever in 2nd stage history? No, back in the early days (1-4) they did that a few times.

^Not entirely sure about that one, but he probably holds most consecutive first stage failures. I believe at 15? straight failed first stage attempts.

You can hardly count Akiyama and Bunpei in this I was actually just rewatching an old Sasuke competition and before the 11th competition Akiyama had an injury (I think his knee) and had to have surgery and ironically though that was the first time he cleared stage 1 and 2 since his win but failed the body prop in stage 3. Also I wasn't meaning to say they got hurt on the course I meant that they had an injury that made them not compete as well. Sorry for the confusion
