This thread is going to be about random facts from Sasuke that you think others might not know. 1. Shingo Yamamoto even though he has been in every competition has only faced the 5-8 Cliffhanger and Cliffhanger 9-17. 2. Kenji Takahashi has faced more versions of the cliffhanger then anyone he faced the 5-8 Cliffhanger, the 9-17 Cliffhanger, the Shin Cliffhanger, the Ultimate Cliffhanger, and the Crazy Cliffhanger. The only one he hasn't faced is the first version. 3. Kazuhiko Akiyama is the only All-Star too have failed the first obstacle. 4. A kind of obvious one, but Katsumi Yamada is the only one (as far as we know) to have faced second stage three times in one tournament. 5. Another obvious one, Shinya Kishimoto was all cut in stage one of sasuke 30 no fast forward or anything, and Terukaza Ishikawa was all cut from stage two Along with Katsumi Yamada from stage one. 6. Kane Kosugi is the only American who has faced two different versions of the cliffhanger in competition.(sasuke 4 cliffhanger and 5-8 cliffhanger) 7. Yusuke Morimoto (first to beat crazy cliffhanger) debut in sasuke 18 at the age of 16 years old and failed the jumping spider. 8. In sasuke 18 Makoto Nagano had to run twice on the first stage due to the log grip getting stuck on the tracks.(I remember reading an old thread on here about this, I think arsenette was apart of the thread, but correct me if I'm wrong.) That is all the random facts I can think about right now. You should think of some too. If you ask me how did I figure out all this my answer is "We are called Sasuke Maniacs for a reason."

Fact: In every renewal tournament, Takeda has failed 2nd obstacle. (SSK 5, Spider Walk, 2nd ob. of Stage 2, SSK 18, Salmon Ladder, 2nd obstacle of Stage 2, SSK 25 failed the Double Salmon Ladder, 2nd obstacle of Stage 2, and SASUKE 28, Rolling Escargot, second obstacle of stage 1.)

Yasuo Aoki and Motohide Oya are the only two people to fail the same obstacle in 4 consecutive tournaments.

Just figured a new one out, All of the All-Stars have been injured before in a tournament. Kazuhiko Akiyama has his vision problems(that should count as an injury as it makes him not able to compete as well as he should). Makoto Nagano injured his leg in Sasuke 29 on the Long Jump. Toshihiro Takeda injured his right shoulder in Sasuke 12 causing him to fail the Cliffhanger in sasuke 13, 14, and 16. Shingo Yamamoto dislocated his shoulder in sasuke 7, 9, and 23. Bunpei Shiratori has had back problems for years and was the reason he missed most of the Shin Sasuke tournaments. Katsumi Yamada injured his right leg in sasuke 21, but still made it far into the course failing the Warped Wall.

Moved this to the SASUKE 30 board due to potential spoilers. As for facts, I'm sure I could go on for a while thinking about and listing some, but I'd like to get some sleep tonight. I might compile a comprehensive list in the future though.

Takeda has failed all versions of the Salmon Ladder and they were all on his first attempts. Thanks Arsenette for saying that in your blog.

In SASUKE 5 the highest time clearing the second stage was 0.3 seconds because no one ELSE passed the 2nd obstacle... Except Shingo

As of SASUKE 30, 6 out of 7 of Takeda's Stage 1 failures have occurred with either #95, #96, or #97 (each twice). His only other Stage 1 failure was as #92 in SASUKE 22.
Also, SASUKE 30 was the first time that Takeda officially wore a number in the 80s (he technically ran in the mid-80s in SASUKE 18, but didn't actually have a number due to him missing the race used to determine start positions in that tournament).

Since SASUKE 28, every competitor in Stage 3 has reached the Crazy Cliffhanger. Yusuke Morimoto is the first competitor to attempt the Curtain Cling since SASUKE 17. Terakazu Ishikawa is the first competitor since SASUKE 4 to be completely cut and reach Stage 2.

This is the average age of people who clears the first stage per era
Era 1 (1-4) 24.4 age
Era 2 (5-17) 27.8 age
Era 3 (18-24) 29.7 age
Era 4 (25-27) 28.4 age
Era 5 (28-30) 28.9 age
Other fact, this took about 2 hours to calculate.

Makoto Nagano has wore number 100 more than all of the All-Stars combined at 14 number #100's. Katsumi Yamada has worn #100 7 times. Kazuhiko Akiyama has worn #100 3 times. Shingo Yamamoto, Toshihiro Takeda, and Bunpei Shiratori have never worn #100. Also combined the All-Stars have had 24 #100's, the other 100's are as follows. Yuuji Urushihara with 2 #100's. Yusuke Morimoto with 1 #100. Another is Atsushi Kawashimi with #100 in Sasuke 1. Akira Omori with 1 #100 in Sasuke 3. Kume Ryouta was the only other #100 in Sasuke 18.

I don't think I'm mistaken about these but there are only 2 competitors who have a 100% completion rate of Stage 3 who have attempted the stage more than once, Oomori Akira and Matachi Ryo.
Oomori is also one of only 3 people to attempt the final stage at least 3 times, he's also the only one to not achieve Kanzenseiha because the other two are Nagano Makoto (5 attempts) and Urushihara Yuuji (3 attempts, a tie with Oomori))

Kazuhiko Akiyama is the only competitor to clear the final stage on his first try, as well as the only competitor to have a 100% success record on the final stage.
Also, Shunsuke Nagasaki in Sasuke 30 is the first time that a competitor has made it to the third stage and been digested on all three stages since Sasuke 14, where Masaki Kobayashi and Kosuke Yamaguchi suffered from the same editing.
