And as for Greenday, that last statement, that's how women argue. Get used to it. You know damn well that can set off something. Really?

Some people on here have personal vendettas against NBC. I personally don't care because I can clearly see they are talking about American Ninja Warrior, not American Ninja Challenge nor Sasuke. The combined stats from AMerica vs Japan were all from competitors who qualified for Sasuke through ANW not by a video posting contest. If that's so hard to see and understand I'm not going to try to make anyone think differently. And as for Greenday, that last statement, that's how women argue. Get used to it.Please don't... that just proves her point about people attacking her for who she is, which we're trying to avoid. As for the Silk Slider... yeah I really didn't see the need to have it rotate like the entry obstacle to stage 2 last season.

I agree, I think the rotation just makes it awkward for no reason. It's fake difficulty.

Meanwhile, back on topic , that curtain slider is VICIOUS. Did I mention it's never been seen before? OMG! It's new! Like, no one's ever tried it before. Because no one's ever seen it before....

In regards to the debate from the previous few pages about ANW's continuity in association with SASUKE, I'm not going to present my take on it publicly in this thread. It is what it is, and how it's viewed is to each their own. Everyone is welcome to discuss topics with opposing viewpoints to some extent and maturity, but the lengthy and harsh reiteration of the same topic over and over again for nearly every new ANW episode is defeating the main points for each thread. This doesn't mean all of you have to be happy about everything going on, but if there are specific things you wish to continue discussing in detail, please keep it to private conversations.
In any case, everyone should be careful with how to phrase everything in posts (and modify them accordingly, if necessary) as means of respect, to prevent discussions from going off-topic, and to keep from fuel being added to the fires. Similarly, please adhere to the forum rules, such as posting content which fellow users may deem offensive to themselves and/or others.

I agree, I think the rotation just makes it awkward for no reason. It's fake difficulty. I think most people that fell will complain more about the landing area than the curtain itself. I am not sure on how much I can state about it but IMO I think most will not say they had any trouble with the rotation most could still drop at the time they wanted to and i think it did add to the excitement of the slide part it was just that landing was guess work it seemed.

I'm not a fan of the landing area either. As a whole, I dislike the obstacle. I think it could be modified to be a decent Stage 2 opener, but in its current form, I'd scrap it. It's clear that it simply existed to have a sliding obstacle in that spot. If they wanted one, why not the Log Grip, the Rolling Escargot, or (what I would choose) the Circle Slider? People get wrecked by the trampolines all the time, just think of the damage you could do with a springboard.

Does anybody else think the time limit for stage one was too generous?

Does anybody else think the time limit for stage one was too generous? It always has been in ANW Vegas it seems. 115 or 110 would be perfect for the 1st stage.

Does anybody else think the time limit for stage one was too generous? To a degree but with the Silk Slider it kind of needed to be...

People have clearly figured out how to deal with time in stage 1 as long as you can do the JS most people do clear stage one from there.

Derek Nakamoto; Epic Failed Silk Slider (digest)(why?!) I thought he was going to be an up and comer after his rookie year but he has not taken that next step I expected hopefully he has a better run next year It was disappointing to see him fail like that. But he seems to have a pretty hectic lifestyle. Not sure he can sacrifice many hours for training after he's graduated from college. His commitment level could be declining. Also super disappointing to see James "Just Beast It!" McGrath fail at Silk Slider. What happened to the Gymja guy. The jacket with hood and the sunglasses on. Thought it wasn't a good idea to do the Silk Slider with that kind of fashion.

I know these are different angles but I feel like this backs up my theory about the HPA being the same as Sasuke, since both pics are Travis Rosen on his second step on the actual halfpipe spoiler'd for size, not for spoilers looks to be the same distance, rope is a bit lower but that would be more hurt than help on the HPA since if you grab that part you're wet anyways (I assume more a safety measure than anything so you don't slam into the platform after losing your grip). also the ANW version looks to be steeper than the Sasuke version

I like this connection and yeah they look pretty similar. Coincidence the times are very close to each other? Anyways yeah it seems the HPA hasn't changed much between SASUKE and ANW so Megan's run does mean more to me now.

Yeah but Rider, that version of the HPA in Sasuke was easily the easiest version of the obstacle that appeared in Sasuke. A better comparison would be to the early shin-sasuke HPA versions.

Top pic is 19, 2nd pic is 23, 3rd pic is 27. The obstacle itself is the same, only difference (besides the paint from 19) is the rope height and the landing...

ANW's is easier you can literally still run on the bottom. Someone did it on Monday.

Until someone has the design planes and measurements for the half-pike attack for both Sasuke and ANW picture compression is not really good enough and small differences in design can make big differences in result also the Spinning wheel looks much easier this year.
