Great it looks like both are members here are going to Vegas even though they didn't finish. As for Megan I am sure she went Vegas as a wild despite doing poorly in the finals most women who were wild carded have gone to Vegas for less.
And for Jon Stewart at 52 years old not only to get to the top 15 but to be one of six finishers against people or almost half his age incredibly! I am surprised the announcers didn't say the first 50+ competitor to beat the 7th obstacle the 8th, 9th and 10th!

Did those doorknobs really turn? I wasn't sure if Matt & Akbar were delivering another one of their patented whoppers.
Speaking of whoppers, they did a really good job of not mentioning that next week's episode is scheduled to be a clip show, "Best Runs of the Season." It looks like no Vegas until August 18.

Thoughts: *AWESOME shot of Kacy, Michelle, and Meagan on top of the Wall. It was like "Well boys, could YOU do this?" No, no I couldn't *Jon Stewart *I don't care how Fantauzzo did. A father at 19 and still with the same woman 20+ years later-THAT'S a REAL man. *I do believe that those doorknob graspers did in fact turn. *Wilder: Nice save. Glad he advances. *Vampire Ninja advances! *Liked Lutz's? technique on the steps. *Congrats to Yen and Karson! EDIT: If I'm not mistaken, the top 5 finishers in qualifying were also either the top ones in the city finals (Godfather, Weatherman), or were not in the Top 15 (Gates, Dreschel, Ball).

Could someone shed light on what exactly happened with Paul Kasemir? Being skipped, not even FF-ed, while having near the best times both days has me flabbergasted. There were rumors of him touching the water on the Devil Steps in qualifying but the producers letting him advance anyways. Is this true and does it have anything to do with NBC possibly wanting us to forget about him, or are they just going to hype him for the finals? Cus I would think his whole girlfriend dying story would be something NBC would love to promote. I just don't get this company (not that I ever have)...

IMO if they haven't done it in 3 years then I doubt they would have rehashed it. Honestly he's bigger than a story like that (tragic as it is) and I'm sure Paul would have wanted to be known more for his accomplishments than a fluff piece. Heck even when he did the ANW vs. Japan aired last January that story was long gone. He's got a resume now and frankly I'd be pissed if they kept rehashing such a tragic story as that.

Dang... I've always liked Lorin Ball. I'd guess he'll get a wildcard (ditto Dillon Gates). 16th place, fastest qualifying run?

OK, top 15 and thoughts, as per usual. Spoiler 1. Isaac Caldiero: Finished, 5:48.41 2. Paul Kasemir (WHY YOU DIGESTS?!): Finished, 5:57.32 3. Brian Arnold: Finished, 8:03.37 4. Ian Dory: Finished, 8:11.23 5. Dr. Noah Kaufman: Finished, 8:21.61 6. Jon Stewart (no, not THAT Jon Stewart): Finished, 8:58.50 7. Daniel Larson: Failed Doorknob Arch, 3:29.52 8. Justin Kidd: Failed Doorknob Arch, 3:31.02 9. Karson Voiles aka KNinja: Failed Doorknob Arch, 4:01.21 10. Yen Chen aka nehcney: Failed Doorknob Arch, 4:02.77 11. Dan Entmacher: Failed Doorknob Arch, 4:22.18 12. Robin Pietschmann: Failed Doorknob Arch, 4:32.34 13. Matthew Wilder: Failed Doorknob Arch, 5:04.46 14. Joel Brady: Failed Doorknob Arch, 6:32.82 15. Lance Pekus: Failed Arm Rings, 2:52.11
Shocking Fails: Meagan Martin, Lorin Ball And of course, thoughts. Spoiler Glad to see that neither KNinja nor nehcney got digested! KNinja, if you don't mind me asking, why did you stop to chat with the commentators on the Warped Wall?
That Doorknob Arch was crazy!
Jon Stewart's run was inspirational, and I mean that quite literally.
Why did they digest Paul Kasemir again?! Seriously, is he not worth showing without a tragic backstory now, NBC?
Between Dillon Gates and Lorin Ball, they should ban the wearing of striped tank tops in the finals.

Is Paul Kasemir an elite rock climber? Matt Iseman said last night that the top 5 Denver finishers were "all elite rock climbers." I wasn't sure if he was blowing smoke again to hype up the whole rock climbers versus parkour versus everyone else thing.

The only reason I'm not sure about "elite" is that I don't know what that entails.

EXCITED! So pumped for you Yen! I think I will be digested this episode as they have already shown my face in the last one. Great run, Karson. Were you the one goofed around at the top of Warped Wall? That was funny.
