It's almost funny that Ronda has had 2 matches in the company so far, and they've both been show stealers- arguably the best matches that women in WWE have ever had. She's basically the best in the company now- perhaps ever, just off sheer quality and entertainment. She made Nia look better than anyone ever could. And I agree with SRW about the division- it's a shame the current champions are meaningless and generic again, and they reduced someone like Asuka for no good reason. Also I know many would disagree with this, but I'd have preferred Roman and Lashley to face off one-on-one for the #1 contender's spot. It's a pretty appealing match by itself so I hope they don't waste it on a random episode of Raw. It's not hard to put on a good match when you only wrestle once every 3 months, don't do tv or house show matches, and have the chance to plan the matches out meticulously beat for beat. Additionally not having to worry about her condition the next night or coming into the mach injured from the gruelling schedule that the other wrestlers on the roster have to go through. The matches were good, but don't get ahead of yourself. See if she can do those kinds of matches if she is under the same conditions as the other female wrestlers. Also this 1 on 1 match didnt come close to the better NXT women's matches (Banks and Bailey, Asuka and Cross, etc).

It's not even about the planning and whatnot. Just her as a performer- her body language and the way she has the crowd invested in her expressions. She's in a league of her own just based off that alone. Her charisma is off the charts, even if I don't like the way she talks. The way she made Nia look far better than anyone else ever has speaks volumes about her. That part of the match where she was slammed, got up briefly, and then stumbled back through the ropes was genius. No one even comes close to her selling. And of course her style of submissions is nice to watch, though I could do without her striking "skills" (the master in my avatar would scoff at such pathetic shadowboxing).
I say the same thing about how guys like Roman and Brock made Braun look even more monstrous than he already is, though Braun is obviously far superior to Nia. It just takes someone special to do that.
Also I don't mind if she doesn't have the same schedule as the rest of the division, because she doesn't need to wrestle every week in meaningless matches. Then again I like Brock as Universal Champion, so my opinion might not be the best.

I think she has done far better than anyone expected her to. That much is obvious. No need for hyperbole though.

Thoughts and Prayers for Hiromu Takahashi. Yeah, I heard he suffered a broken neck during his match against Dragon Lee. I wonder what's going to happen with the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title.

There was a HUGE upset on Day 1 of the G1 Climax, Jay White knocked off Kazuchika Okada to pick up his first win of this tournament.

They are big on Jay White, Okada has lost plenty of times outside of title matches, and he's not the champ anymore. He's probably going to go on a semi losing streak.

When do you think he'll rebound? lol, I don't know. I'm just saying it's not that surprising. I mean, he lost against Evil of all people last G1. He's not going to be winning the tournament so he obviously has to lose a few matches here and there, so might as well put over some young talent in the mean time.

Anyone else have the feeling that this Sasha/Bayley storyline is leading to a lesbian angle?

It didn't take long for a G1 Climax match to achieve 5 stars. According to the Wrestler Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer awarded two matches this week from the B Block 5 stars. One of them was on the 2nd night of the tournament between Tetsuya Naito and Kenny Omega. The second one was on the 4th Night of the tournament between Hirooki Goto and Kenny Omega. There was also a 5 star match awarded on an episode of NXT. I believe this is the first time NXT has had a 5 star match on their weekly episodic show. This was an NXT Tag Team Title Match between The Undisputed Era and Mustache Mountain.

Well, of course it is. WWE almost never gets 5 star matches. Before the Gargano and Almas match, the last 5-stars WWE match was Cena Vs. Punk.
