I have been here almost 5 years, and I know what does words mean, you don't need to try to make me look stupid by linking a wiki definition to them. Nice attempt of satire I guess. You called him childish. I defended his right to do parody.

"So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets."--Matthew 7:12.
I agree with you on most things, Arsenette, but I have to disagree here. There is parody and there is mockery. This is mockery. Do you like being blatantly mocked? Would you want someone to say something like this about you?
When Yukio Iketani openly mocks someone, you call him arrogant. But it's funny when Ube does it? Let's put it in this perspective: if Yamada said something like this about someone, would you still think it's funny? I doubt it. You would say that he was being mean, arrogant, rude, etc.

But now here we are... laughing at his complete and utter failures... I kinda feel sorry for him but thankfully he doesn't know this is happening...

For the both of you. Your "outrage" is about 6 years too late. Where was your anger whenever these things pop up. Everything from Sasuke Spray, to Kanno's Bzzzpt pow pow vapid muscle brain.. all of this has been visible, talked about and expanded on for the past 6 years. So to bring it up now is hypocritical.
As for satire you obviously don't understand the meaning. It is this exactly that. Biting and strong. You guys are both upset at Yamada's portrayal only while ignoring the rest of them. Yamada has been a source of mockery within the Sasuke community for 18+ years. He's divisive, egotistical, self centered and narcissistic. Ube (and myself) and anyone else have the right to mock and parody this behavior as we chose to do so. Hell, TBS has been doing it for years and you don't see to find issue with it. Ube has been using this style of writing for about 8 years. Even you (Tiger) have used "Sasuke Spray" in your vocabulary more than once. That's why I find it hypocritical.
As for Iketani. This is on the field of play. He mocked his own teamates at the Olympics while competing with them. This writing on a fictional level is a completely different thing. One is a fictional writing and another is verbally attacking others in the field of play. Learn the difference between the two. It's meaning doesn't change because you like the person being satired. EVERYONE in the satire is affected (all the All-Stars and all the Shin Sedai). Just getting upset because you like one person and didn't like the portrayal doesn't stop it from being satire.

"Sasuke Spray" has been used in reference to ALL of the All-Stars, and several other competitors, as well. The competitors use it a lot, and some of them practically douse themselves in it, so it makes sense to refer to it as "Sasuke Spray." I didn't know about Sasuke at all 8 years ago, and wasn't on SMF 6 years ago. I was on WebJam, however. And even back then I was telling y'all that it wasn't nice to mock Yamada.

Ok I can still admit this is funny but yeah I'm on the border of this issue. I'll just stay neutral here.

And all of this predates SMF. You only pick and chose though who can be mocked only because you like Mr. Sasuke. We don't for various reasons even if you don't want to know so it doesn't break your image of him. And again it doesn't change the fact that this is all satire.

Just some light hearted jokes folks, nothing else to see here.
Also, religion has no place on this forum, I do not care what anyone on here believes in, but that will be about the fastest most divisive way of beginning a serious conflict here that nobody wants. Simply referencing in this manner, despite good intentions is inappropriate.

I can't believe there are still Yamada fans out there omg.
Also, cut out the bible verses tiger. It will only open a can of worms.

Only you two brought up that she referenced the bible. Nip that in the bud.

Everyone is entitled to discuss their own views and opinions, provided the disagreements with others remain respectful and to a minimum. This specific matter is starting to go off on a tangent and away from the original topic of this thread; therefore, I advise those involved to let the matter drop.

'I called someone out, no need to call me out for calling someone out'
That's all I see here. I also had a nice laugh.

OK, guys, I'm sorry about this. I don't really like seeing Yamada being mocked. And I do believe that we should treat others the way that we want them to treat us. But I guess I overreacted a bit. I spoke out in anger. I'm sorry about that. Make it Pax?

I can seriously understand your position. I respect it.

Honestly these are kind of pathetic. Sorry I kinda agree with this even though I like "the meeting" (that one made me giggle for real). It seems a bit excessive to make fun of a guy you don't like. I'm probably a bit hypocritical but oh well.
