And the construction on the Spider Flip looks better built even though they're functionally the same, I think there might be a couple more but I can't remember them at the moment I guess while Jamie is a topic, I wonder if he will ever become so serious about the show that he ends up stopping wearing the costume and just wear casual clothes like the majority of competitors. Like he did in Vegas last year?

Since we are talking course does anyone know if they changed anything on the Miami course first set of obstacles since they had so many finishers ? Saint Louis they talked about how they made the cargo net further away but that did not seem to effect anyone.

Oh, but I also like how Andrew Lowes gave a salute at the top of the Warped Wall.

Not sure someone mentioned already, but I thought that the diagonal safety mat at Rumbling Dice should have been vertical. The diagonal angled mat allowed the competitors to bail out of that ginormous monster from way too long of a distance.

FallRisk911 Do you want to field this one about how that's a better design than last year? EDIT: Hell... I have my own reason's for why that's a terrible idea as well, because you know they tried that last year at first, did not go well...

The diagonal angled mat allowed the competitors to bail out of that ginormous monster from way too long of a distance. And if they are going to have that angled platform, then they need to make it so you have to reach a certain point before being allowed to attempt jumping to the platform.

A little change in topic of all the three city finals aired so far the fifteen finalist from St. Louis are defiantly the best with five of the fifteen having beaten stage 1 either in Japan or Vegas at lest once. And two gone all the way to stage 3.
While only 2 in Venice have beaten stage 1 although both did make it as far to stage 3. While the finalists in Dallas are the weakest accomplishment wise because I don't think any them have beaten stage 1 yet.

I guess while Jamie is a topic, I wonder if he will ever become so serious about the show that he ends up stopping wearing the costume and just wear casual clothes like the majority of competitors. I'm not sure what you mean. I have trained with Jamie multiple times and can tell you that he is just as serious about the competition as anybody else. The costume is his form of individual expression. If you mean that if he one day becomes so serious about the competition that he stops because he believes the costume slows him down or worsens his performance-- If he stops, that will be sad. While the costume does not necessarily make Jamie who he is, it makes him more interesting than the hundreds of other obstacle gym people who work odd jobs and train on replicas.

The costume is probably great for performance as it might take a lot of nerves away. Helps with being able to relax. But just because someone wears a costume DOES NOT make them interesting!!!!

Guys, just a general reminder: if you want to quote a long post, be considerate of everyone else and edit it down so that the page isn't unnecessarily long.

The diagonal angled mat allowed the competitors to bail out of that ginormous monster from way too long of a distance. I don't mind one or two spectacular crash landing for one season like Michael Bernardo did in ANW5. Not sure his crash was the reason (other than the size change of RD) for having changed the safety-mat angle from vertical to diagonal at Rumbling Dice , but I liked the vertical one better. Without the cliff, we can't see a Face Landing.

I'm just saying, the reason the landing on the Rumbling Dice in Baltimore last season was because they made that change right before the competition ran... And to everyone giving their idea for how it should be built... You guys do realize they built it that exact same way you guys are suggesting in Baltimore, and that didn't work out so well for them because of how close you had to get to try to jump for it was already pretty far...
