Hey everyone. I don't believe that anyone has done this yet so excuse me if i'm taking someone's idea. Sasuke 22 Stickam Event -I'll be opening my stickam channel for Sasuke 22 so that we can talk about the season. It'll be cool to meet everyone from this website and the G4 site. You are welcome to invite people from the G4 forums but I don't want to hear the common "they suck" and "I can do better". This is a prestigious event, not a witch fit from hell's kitchen. [The only exception is if olivia fails the first obstacle. Again.] I just submitted a request to stickam so that my stickam channel will be placed on the front page for this event. Currently, my request is still pending as of today. I don't believe this idea has been implemented already, so I just wanted to see what you guys thought about it. I'll be leaving the stickam channel on during the whole event + 30 minutes before and after sasuke 22.
So to answer your question, we'll be discussing sasuke 22 durring the event for the most part.

what if you wouldn't be wacthing it live, but recorded? I intended this event to be live only but I could open stickam the day after. I would believe that would defeat the purpose of the stickam event. After everyone watches Sasuke 22, the fourms will be flooded with responses. So, If needs be, I can open stickam again the day after sasuke 22 if there is a high enough demand for it.

Well, I've organized an AIM live chat for the last two tournaments. However, since I won't be able to see Sasuke 22 in full, I'm not sure if I could do that this time.
I'm really familiar with stickam, could you explain it a little more?

I'm really familiar with stickam, could you explain it a little more? I assumed we were going to use the Forums chat this year? Although, to be honest, I'm afraid one guy is going to make like 6 different names and spam it. Stickam is a chatroom, but you have the ability to show things live. For example, you can record your computer screen, and broadcast it to the world, you could also use a webcam, really anything that can record. But Stickam has horrific quality, I'd much rather watch Sasuke through TVants, and just chat to stickam.

Maybe, but also maybe not. Many people are either going to be using tvants, or if that doesn't work, keyhole. So a singular forum chat would NOT be good, especially with the 2 minute difference between the two.

Especially when for the past two tournaments the time limit HAS been 2 minutes.
And I'll be in the forum chat but I'll only be posting during commercials obviously XD

TVAnts has a chat built in.
Or, I do recomment IRC for mass people chat. Heck, you can connect to irc if you have firefox (with the right plug-in), and it has a mod so if someone's being annoying we can kick them out.

I had a chat last year and I plan on doing it again this time.
I only invite people who were not idiots, it worked last time, so ill try it again if no one else is willing too. And why wouldn't everyone be using TVants? Its way better.

Some people have issues with getting TVAnts to work, and others use Macs.

why wouldn't everyone be using TVants? Its way better. Getting TVAnts to work when you tell it to is pretty much a crapshoot. And we all know how bad it is to shoot crap, I mean it gets everywhere, smells like a burning turd (well, there is a reason for that). Ya' don't want to do it.

The forum chat would probably be the simplest, most obvious option. The Keyhole problem is going to be present whatever is used for a chat. We didn't have two chats last time but then again Livestation worked universally so not many were using Keyhole. People watching on Keyhole could still be in the chat, they'd just have to be careful to wait for everyone to catch up.
In the next few days I'll probably start a TVAnts troubleshoot thread to see if we can get it working for as many people as possible.

I'm a total technological geek, so my vote would be for IRC. (1) I won't be on TVAnts. (2) I don't use MSN. (3) I'm indifferent on forum chat, I haven't looked at it. I tend to shy away from web page chat systems, never had a good experience with them. (4) IRC is my stomping ground . Also; But Stickam has horrific quality, I'd much rather watch Sasuke through TVants, and just chat to stickam. Stickam has horrific quality? You better tell that to Leo Laporte...

What was everybodys problem with the AIM chat last time? The only downside I found was that there was a max of 20 people allowed per chat room.

I still say IRC for convenient reasons. Heck, use mibbet.com if you really have to. its not that hard.
So I think this thread should change to voting now with: AIM Forum chat Stickam IRC TVAnts Chat
