/shakescaneinair I'm older than both! LOL Still though Shingo looks awesome for his *ehem* age.. /criesinshame Scary to say that Bunpei looks older than Yamada (facially) when Yamada is older than Bunpei. I was also very happy to see Tomo and Hioki's backstory. Only us maniacs really know who they are so it's really nice for people to get to know them better. Granted Navi is only shown in the Kanto region but still, it's nice to see some back story. I had no idea Tomo was a high school drop out and a delinquent when he didn't respond well to his parent's divorce. He's such a cool guy now and really friggin' nice when you talk to him. With age he's grown to be a better man and that's really encouraging to see. He's now a devoted husband and father. Also so happy to see his father in Sasuke. I'm a sucker for those types of stories coming from a divorce family myself. It's moving. Knowing more about the culture in Japan about divorces really makes it important and impactful when seeing Tomo's father IN Sasuke. Most don't ever see the divorce parent ever again.

(gets out my cheap pair of reading glasses) You're not that much older than us. :^P I was trying to make out what Kawaguchi's backstory was due to mechanical issues on my end at the time, so I wasn't sure what happened with his parents. It is very good to see both of them in the fluff piece, then. I wonder if some of that aspect of Japanese culture is changing somewhat nowadays, or if Ryo and Kawaguchi's families are just different.

hey guys, super excited for SASUKE 30. I plan to get together a group of 20 people, some of whom are familiar with sasuke or american ninja warrior, many of whom are completely new. It's going to be a great event
Is there a recording of this Navi special so I can show it to them over this weekend before Tuesday night/Wednesday morning when SASUKE 30 airs streamed from these boards ?
Thanks in advance.

Hey we are the anomalies on the board! /wavestofellow1970'sbaby! I do hope that what is going on now with this generation of divorce kids is a sign of things changing. I swear their antiquated/socially accepted divorce system (of literally breaking off permanently even from the children) is on it's way out. I hate divorce with every ounce of my being but when it happens I hate how much kids pay the price for it as if it was their fault. So it's nice that TBS brings this up in the cases where it affects their competitors. It's a story that has now repeated (first with Ryo and now with Tomo) that hopefully gets the new generation to seek out their parents and it's okay to not have to "choose sides". I mean, outside of physical abuse of course, no system in the world should excommunicate a parent/child from each other just because the marriage between the parents fell apart. As for the new people that keep asking without reading the previous posts - please contact a moderator/administrator privately (use PM's) and they will gladly share the information you are looking for. I appreciate your understanding and welcome to the boards!

Anyone mention how much they showed of Drew? I'm really curious as to how well he did since they played him up so much during the Navi.

I just realized that this time around, we didn't really get a stage-by-stage obstacle preview. IIRC, they usually show up to at least the Cliffhanger.

Part 1 is up on the blog. I have to verify 2 kanji and 1 hiragana but for the most part I think I got part 1 completely done.

Not a problem! I've been lucky that I get translations for a couple of sources (time time one of them was in real time) so that's really really helpful. Been really lucky to have such good friends that can help with that. Btw Part 2 is up. Sorry for the delay and appreciate the patience!
