It's very strange seeing Yamada's run being cut. After all he is Mr.SASUKE and his run is being cut. Must we talk of Yamada's sudden drop off? I just wanna know how Nagano does since it seems he's going to clear a wall or 2.

To clarify for those who are scared to watch: This shows a few First Stage results including one clear from someone rather unknown.

Kenji Darvish was a bit too starstruck when he met Yamada, he was saying stuff like "He's the amazing Yamada" and "Sweet, he's an all star" XD

Spoiler *Sigh*, why would they blatantly show Nagano doing the Warped Wall? Spoiler It's more than likely an effort to draw in viewers. Remember how Nagano was shown at the Stage 3 starting line in one of the SASUKE 27 teasers? Same idea---if it's hinted that a very well-known competitor like Nagano did well (especially in light of frequent early defeats), people may be more prone to watching his full run during the official broadcast. Well, if that was the case, they succeeded! Last time they had a rating of 9.6. This time, they had a rating of 10 even.

Yamada had planned to retire after Sasuke 28. When Shingo, Nagano, and Takeda started talking about competing in Sasuke 29, Yamada did not join in. Shortly before Sasuke 29, I asked him if he was going to compete. He replied that he had retired. My immediate response was "But you're Mr. Sasuke!" Before Sasuke 30 was even announced, several of his FB friends/fans began wishing him good luck in the tournament. They were not asking him if he was going to compete. They just wished him good luck. He finally told us that he would compete one more time. A while back, he posted on his Facebook stating that he intended Sasuke 30 to be his last tournament. It was not the old "If I don't clear the first stage, I'll quit" thing. This post was very humble. As much as I like Yamada, even I have to admit, that's not something we often see from him. But this post was humble and polite. I didn't understand all of the message, but the gist of it was "The past 19 years have been fun. I'm grateful for the time that I've had competing. It's time for me to step aside now." So, he was planning to step down anyway. But now they're going to force him out regardless of his decision. I guess he can't come back, even if he wanted to. He must have done something pretty bad for them to force out Mr. Sasuke. Still, I hope he'll continue to attend the tournaments as a spectator and cheer on the Black Tigers and his fellow All-Stars. Remember, once an All-Star, always an All-Star. Well I might as well not put a spoiler tag since he wasn't shown anyways. Katsumi "Mr. Sasuke" Yamada wore #2934, which was right after his 3rd Gundan Member, was cut along with his 3rd Gundan member. It's specificly shown on Sasukepedia that he competed, but was cut.
