Anyone else annoyed that Matt only said, "finally got up the Warped Wall in 5 years of competing" and not the fact that Brett made it to Japan twice?! I assume he meant in American Ninja Warrior, which even then still doesn't make sense... Glad to see him back and getting revenge on the Warped Wall, granted this is years after his Soritatsu Kabe fail in 20 but still

Avoiding all spoilers, as I'm watching it right now. I just thought I'd confirm that I will be posting results, and to express annoyance about something. Are you serious?! They digested Brett Sims clearing? *RAGE!*

I was definitely grossed out a bit by that. Put up a warning first NBC. Anyways, results. It will be a bit bigger than normal, so be prepared. All are clears, so I'll just put up names and times. Spoiler 1. Drew Dreschel, 0:44.24 2. Jonathan Sharp Brown, 0:51.11 3. Luciano Acuna, Jr., 1:00.07 4. William Brown, 1:03.03 5. John Vogt, 1:13.20 6. Joseph Rosello, 1:16.95 7. Idoko Abuh, 1:19.24 8. Neil Craver, 1:23.48 9. Miguel Castillo, 1:23.65 10. Dustin Sanderson, 1:25.05 11. Solomon Harvey, 1:27.88 12. Brett Sims (WHY YOU DIGEST?!), 1:28.50 13. Kenneth Neimitalo, 1:32.02 14. Jared "JJ" Woods, 1:34.15 15. Stephens Nunnally (no Lelouch?), 1:34.83 16. Adam Orsini, 1:35.27 17. Michael Eckert, 1:40.39 18. Timothy Koren, 1:40.72 19. Preston Griffall, 1:48.05 20. Ryan Stratis (WHY YOU DIGEST?!), 1:50.29 21. David Hunt, 1:51.99 22. Kavon Sadler, a very happy 1:52.84 23. Brandon Arrington, 2:00.91 24. Adam Grossman, 2:02.69 25. Gabriel Arnold, 2:03.80 26. Reko Rivera, 2:03.91 27. Binny Seth, 2:07.45 28. Rich Thompson, 2:09.88 29. Andy Friedman, 2:11.32 30. Todd Bourgeois, 2:11.92 31. Josh Windbeck, 2:13.75 32. Jonathan Ruiz, 2:30.98 33. Chris Poli, 2:31.06 34. Sean Morris (WHY YOU DIGEST?!), 2:33.92 35. Dustin McKinney, 2:34.67 36. Felix Chu, 2:39.90 37. Noel Reyes, 2:42.94 38. William Domke II, 2:55.32 39. Daniel Bertrams, 3:06.07 40. Jim Matheis. 3:50.21 41. Matt Zacharkow, 4:02.82 42. Andrew Viscusi, 4:17.47
Most Shocking Fails: Flip. Just...Flip. Wow. Overall, much improved editing over Dallas, but still some frustrating digests. AT least they didn't cut the runs of finalists from last year that qualified this year. *cough*EletHall*cough*TK*cough*

I got thrown off on my list because NBC is stupid. They had 5 per screen for the first 35, then 4 to go up to 39, then 3 on the last screen for 42. I assumed when the group of 4 rather than 5 came up that that was the last of the finishers. Also, when you have to be concerned that the shirt you are wearing might be too baggy, touching the water under the Cargo Net to DQ you, THE NET IS TOO f***ing LOW! I'm sorry, potential mods, I try not to swear too much, but that was...gah!

You don't need to worry, you should get in trouble if it is censored and also, 42 clears, wow, if only they show anw here in Australia... never mind they do, but we are 2 seasons behind at the moment

C'mon Got kinda boring in the end just seeing so many people destroy it I watched the first hour with my mom, who complained that the course was too hard because only 4 people cleared in the first hour. If you're going to put in people we genuinely don't care about (seriously, 3 effin' minutes about a DENTIST?) at least offset that with who are actually fan favorites, not who you decide are fan favorites. I think I'm done with ANW for the season.

I agree 42 clears is way too many, but that just means it will likely be a blood bath in the finals. The Jump Hang was a joke in my opinion... the net was way too close and being forced to climb under was just annoying. Looking forward to Denver.

I like the flying sheets but not as the 5th obstacle compared to the rest of the regionals and what they had. I think that also was why they had 42 clears.

Maybe they should have done the curtain in the cargo net or something like that. The curtain cling was much more about the push-off the platform rather then upper body strength like the other regions.

The curtain cling was much more about the push-off the platform rather then upper body strength like the other regions. In theory the stepping stones were cool, maybe they are just a little too close together. Cargo net was such a waste of time. Might aswell not have a tramp. I liked the sliding curtain but compared to the monkey peg its crazy that they think it's a suitable obstacle. I feel sorry for the people who had to run in Venice & Dallas. The difficulty needs to be kept more consistent.

i thought that was your course. thats really awesome congrats man 4. The course was way too easy. 42 finishers. The problem is that what runs people will actually want to see is subjective. Someone claimed earlier that they FFed Ryan Stratis (and I would have liked to see his run) in favor of showing an Olympian. But lots of people are interested in seeing how pro athletes like Olympians do on the course. NBC is never going to satisfy everybody based on who they show and who they don't, and I'd bet that if they came on this site and asked for fan favorites, they would get so many different responses that they wouldn't be able to come to a consensus. Sure, I'd bet we would all be able to agree on some contestants like David Campbell, but even then I'm sure some people would say "but he's failed stage 1 twice in a row now, so I would rather see him digested instead of a promising newcomer." NBC is, at times, going to have to FF people who have had success before. Especially in this region, which was WAY too easy and had WAY too many clears. It just seems like no matter who they FF, people are going to complain. Personally, I have not been a huge fan of previous seasons. I have watched because I love Sasuke, but the endlessly long player intros really killed any entertainment value out of the episodes. But this year the intros are short. They are showing more runs. The commentary is improved and we are actually seeing Matt and Akbar interact with the contestants. This is the first year where I can honestly say I think the show is producing high quality episodes. I'm actually enjoying the show a ton this year. That being said, NBC did make this region too easy, which made the weakest episode so far. The curtain obstacle was a joke compared to the monkey pegs and the ring toss, and the cargo net on the jump hang was too close to the mini tramp. Hopefully next week is an improvement in regards to difficulty.

The 5th obstacle was a lot easier compared to everywhere else thus far. We'll see what Denver will have in store for us.

it’s got progressively easier since the season started. Monkey peg < ring toss < tilting bars < curtain slider But in those select few frames (David Campbell & few others have done it) when the athlete walks away from the warped wall you can see the finals course in the background, they look super intense!!!! And on the preview for Denver that new nun chuck looking obstacle looked harder than any obstacle so far.
