They're a kind of anti-slip shoe called Hyper-V global.rakuten.com/en/store/taf-motion/item/10000878/Be aware while they're good for moisture they're not completely perfect from what I've heard, in fact I've seen them fail against little ice pellets on top of grip tape first hand

Have any ninjas here tried anything from VIVOBAREFOOT on the official course? I think I've seen a few pairs of Motus on the show in the last two seasons, wondering whether they've seen an uptick in popularity with New Balance's disappointing decision to move away from the Minimus line.
I've tried Motus, Primus and One models in our facility here in Perth, Australia and thought I'd bring them up here.
The Motus is a little stiff, but has grip on the arch which is handy for obstacles like the pole grasper and floating doors, plus it goes pretty well for balance. Also very durable and supposed to be good in wet conditions (though haven't tested that yet).
The Primus is pretty flexible, super light-weight and has good grip when going forward, but struggles to stay on when using the legs to clamp onto stuff.
Just my thoughts, would be curious to hear what you guys have to say on them before I commit to them for an upcoming comp.

Current hotness is the New Balance Zante v2.
Similar to the old MR10v1 with a bit more support than the zante v1 and a better tread pattern.

I just bought the Zante v3 and the grip feels like glue. Sadly no ninja gym near me to test them properly. One can only hope (and wait) for ninja gyms to take off in this country. Guess the parkour gym will have to do, just need to get a little fitter before heading there as it is tough and I don't want to get injured.

Grip of Zante v3 is very nice, my gym owner has a pair, really nice ones. He can do spider climb without hands with it. Personally I have Minimus 20v6. It felt really nice (at the start), but it had no grip on the warped wall right from the gecko. It had small spikes. What i did, took some sandpaper and got rid of it. Now it sticks and grips really nice. Example : www.facebook.com/robertas.bujauskas/videos/843145909177715/

I actually just talked to a couple of ninjas about them, they are better than the older designs (more grip) but take a little to break in. I’m actually about to buy some myself.

Okay so I have tested between the v3s and v4s and I have to say it's no contest that v3s are better. I have a pair of each and I tested between terribly run down v3s and new v4s and the v3s were way better on the Warped Wall. Even if I were to run down the soles on the v4's I can't see them being better, they feel like damn cleats they're so jagged Also word for the wise.. I bought a new pair of v3's, and wow am I pissed. Mostly because this is now the second time (after buying the v4s) that these shoes are still worse than my run down v3s I got months ago. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01N9LCAPU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (FYI I'm from America but in the UK currently), the bottoms of these v3s in particular are plastic man... these are god awful. Do not buy them, not all v3s are created equal--I learned that the hard way today. If the bottoms look see through straight up avoid. Gotta reorder again now...
