Out of curiosity, is there any possibility of the director's cut being shown elsewhere (or sold by TBS) at some point in the future? I assume it's unlikely (as is the case with official TBS DVDs of past tournaments), but still possible if enough interest is drummed up. They know the interest is there. Given that they now have people signing waivers I'm more hopeful. They are actively trying to get at least Rising in home format. Whether they can do it I'm not sure but they are trying. The fact that they got the waivers even for this audience is very good news. I hope they do and more importantly, I hope it's a format we can import - like Bluray since we are in the same region as Japan for that. It's good to hear that they're taking such measures lately. I'm sure I speak for everyone on the forums when I say that I'll keep my fingers crossed everything regarding these plans works out for at least 28 onwards. Besides, if there is enough demand/interest in these tournaments being sold, hopefully it can eventually motivate TBS to somehow work through the issues surrounding the distribution of 1-27 (and potentially even some of the former M9 programs).

The odds of that are verrrrrrrry low (for the former M9 stuff) and it pains me to say it. But I'm happy that they are actively trying to do something with Rising. There are a few hurdles they are tackling but I'm more hopeful than I was even a year ago. Time will tell. Lots of things they are working on and I HOPE it comes to fruition. Lord knows I'm screaming in the background for these.

It's really a shame for all of the fans throughout the world. /cries On a more optimistic note, getting releases of any SASUKE-related footage will be a welcome surprise. It's nice to have something available after years of having nothing, which shows how TBS is moving in the right direction through such efforts. With that said, I personally see it as feasible for footage exclusive to the director's cut to be included with a TBS release of 30.
